Nice hotel near airport with free shuttle. Shuttle runs about once an hour. Was easy to figure out. Just head to the meeting point they specify and tell the people there you want the Siam Mandarina shuttle. Spacious room but could do with some maintenance. Check in and check out were extremely quick. Staff were excellent. 10/10 for the staff

Our stay pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The airport view was great, and soundproofing was quite good. The restaurant had excellent breakfast. The spa was not very busy, it was easy to get walk-in appointment.

While the facade, reception area and dining areas seemed to be well maintained and very nice looking, the (family) room in which we stayed was not up to the price being paid (compared to a similarly priced Mariott hotel). There were also someone’s leftover socks in one of the drawers. The lack of any USB chargers was also something that surprised me at the rate being charged. All being said, it’s an OK hotel, if a little over-priced for what you actually get.

My experience with this hotel was not good. I stayed there twice. The first time I was arriving to BKK very late and leaving very early the next day. Like most seasoned travellers, I checked the bed for bed bugs before using it. I noticed that the mattress had not been vacuumed in a long time and there were a collection of suspicious stains on it. And to make things worse it did not have a mattress cover. I did not see any bed bugs and it was almost 1:00am. So I decided to stay and sleep on top of the cover. In the morning I found two dime sized black spiders in the washroom 😱, one on the floor and one on the vanity. I informed the receptionist when I left; she did not seemed surprised or bother by the finding. She casually apologized, making me think it may be a common occurrence. Unfortunately, I had a reservation for two days later and it was too late to cancel it. When I came back I mentioned my troubles and they gave me a free upgrade -to a clean room. Actually they gave me a two bedroom suite and they sent house keeping to check the room before I got in. The bed was clean, it had a mattress cover and there were no spiders in the room this time. But then I was actually paying attention and noticed that the hallways and elevators we not very clean. A long story but I think is important to share it. I will not stay there again.

Beautiful hotel and a lovely place to end a vacation. The area around the hotel is not as nice for walking and eating as some other parts of Bangkok.

Excellent choice
We were extremely happy with our stay at the Siam Mandarina. We chose the suite with views which was very comfortable. The separate living area with its own TV made it easier if one wanted to go to sleep undisturbed. The 4.10 free shuttle was very quick and allowed us to check in for our early flight at 6.15 am . My only complaint was the time it took for the free shuttle to leave the airport for the hotel. Their representative was wearing what we would call a teal blue jacket not the lime green described in their email but maybe the colour doesn’t have a Thai equivalent!
