Hotel, which is hidden away on an unnamed road the
Enjoyed once I had found it, good train service into Barcelona, although no information how on site and where to park in local town. it was a real nightmare to find, and on two occasions I had to reverse on main roads and initially spent a long time and many miles getting there.
This hotel itself was nice but location is really hard to find. It took us 40 minutes to find it with GPS and google maps. Hotel was clean and room were nice too. AC didn't work but then they changed our room and that problem was fixed. Good thing is WiFi works in rooms. Bad things is there is no continental breakfast. They just give you coupon for next door cafe and you don't get much there, just a small coffee and small cake. I think price for this hotel is high for what you get.
Staff very helpful. Location may be difficult to find by airport drivers, ask them to be sure they can locate the place before leaving the airport. Local drivers knows the hotel very well. Booking included continental breakfast only to find out that their 'continental breakfast' is just 1 croissant, 1 small of coffee/tea & 1 small glass of orange juice; watch out for this as may not be enough to start your day on.
We stayed one night as we were going to the Grand Prix at circuit de catalunya the next morning. I wasn't expecting a fabulous hotel as we didn't pay much for it but I was expecting a clean room... The whole floor smelled of smoke but thankfully our room didn't. The carpet in the room looked awful, the walls were dirty and it just didn't feel nice.

Good deal if ur on the move
Room was clean and spacious, but the AC was not cool enough.
We had 2 rooms and it was the same in the other room, we did not complain as we were only staying overnight.
It had a big parking and it's free, so ignore the note about the surcharge. There is a groccery and a gas station nearby.
Great little hotel for the price. It's a bit of a hike from BCN, but definitely a better deal than a lot of the hotels in the city. We would stay here again.
AS Bellaterra - completely inaccessible and hidden
I reserved this hotel because I had a conference at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, which according to the website is 1.7 km from the hotel. This is true if you are a bird and can fly over the highway. The hotel is completely isolated and inaccessible to almost anything. It should say that it is simply not an option for someone without a car. Not one taxi driver knew how to get there and I spent about the equivalent of two nights in the hotel trying to find it in taxis. I ended up leaving the hotel after one night and staying in Barcelona. Ironically, the hour train ride from center of Barcelona to the University was far easier then the 30 minute walk across the highway from this hotel. Why is this place even advertised on an international website - it is an off ramp on a highway that one would stay at when you've driven for a day and can't drive any longer.

far away from barcelona
Very nice people there but the location suck. My taxi driver couldn't find the place and it cost me 60 euros from the airport. We far from anything.
I traveled to this hotel in September 2011. I was very disappointed. I was a single lady travelling on her own.The hotel was recommended by Expedia. It was in the middle of no-where. The only way to get to this hotel was by taxi or car if you have one. I had to take the taxi to get to this hotel (very expensive) and on some of the evenings the taxi drivers didn't know where this hotel was. The walls in the room are just made of ply-board so there is no privacy every conversation you have can be heard with your neighbors. I asked for a cup of hot-water at 11pm and was told that there was nothing available. The hotel was clean. The beds where musky smelling. When I booked I read that there was money exchange facility and when I went to exchange the money the service wasn't available and there was no cash - machine. Hardly funny when you have spent all the money on taxi fees. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cheap hotel, nice service at reception desk - but if you are simple tourist and not a transit (highway) traveller, there is a problem to reach the center of the Barcelona, becouse the hotel is in the middle of the Highway. To reach closest train station is obligatory to take the Taxi from the hotel(10-11 EUR) which means additionally min. 20 EUR of daily costs only for transport from the hotel to metro and back. Breakfast is self-paid in the hotel restoran, which is open also for non-hotel guests. Basic breakfast for the price between 2,5 - 7,5 EUR but is very modest as well additional offer in the restoran.

Hotel AS Bellaterra, Cerdanyola Del Valles
Good points - excellent, helpful staff; lovely and reasonably priced food at the hotel restaurant; good sized room; free computer/Internet access; very clean room and bathroom.
Bad points - Shower attachment broken; half an hours' drive away from Barcelona; close to motorway so traffic noise at night; paper thin walls between bedrooms.

OK for the price
Great staff. Restaurant quality was great but not open on the weekends. Expensive taxi rides wherever you wanted to go(40 to 60 euros). Good place if you just need to spend the night.
What a find!! Easy access from the motorway. We were impressed by the menu del dia (noche) at 12.50 euros which included a 3 course meal plus a bottle of wine. We did not arrive until 9.30 pm and we noticed that the restaurant closed at 10.00 pm, but they were happy to accommodate until 11.00pm. We will certainly use again!
This is the fifth time we have stayed at the Bellaterra. It is an excellent hotel, comfortable, clean, good restaurant, free wifi, friendly staff. Rooms are large, very welcoming after driving 600 miles. Very good value for money.
