Perfect for a Christmas night stay
Excellent location, very friendly staff and was perfect for a night away to see family on Christmas Day. Hotel is looking in need of a refurb but was comfortable, bedding was spotlessly clean and shower hot & powerful…..everything that was needed!

Meh, you can see why it’s cheaper….
Stayed in room 106 TV only in one room, not bedroom TV doesn’t work properly Curtains were filthy! Stayed 3 nights and didn’t have my room service once while I was there…. Tried to ask a housekeeper to do it after the second night and she told me the room wasn’t on ‘her list’

My stay stared badly as the room I was given was not what I booked. I was downgraded without being told beforehand or at check-in. I had to ask why I did not have the right accommodation. I was given a lame excuse. The place I was given was not good at all. My partner was upset as it was our anniversary and I promised her a nice suite and received a poor second

The reception and bar all looked 2-3 star and staff very nice, but the bedroons and showers were so run down and furniture not fit for a charity shop! So needs a refurbishment. Outside deralict looking in places. But food excellent!

Unfortunately having booked online I did need to wait an hour before checking in. This was around 6pm, so well after the checkin time. Shouldn’t have to wait that long before booking and paying (while at the hotel) to then being able to check in.

Endless issues with this hotel, staff dont know what they are doing. We arrived and 1 of the bedrooms had not been cleaned from previous person, the hair dryer was broken and took 4 requests over 3 days to have one sent to room. The shower leaked, the window was broken, the windowsill coming away from wall, the pillows were like huge rocks and zero cleaning for the entire 4 days. No one provided us with more toilet roll, change of towels or teas and coffees. Terrible stay!!!!!!!!!!

Rooms looked 'tired', and could do with a revamp. You had to ask to have new towels on a daily basis (which was not explained on check in). Dirty plates and empty bottles left in the corridor, not cleaned up for more than 24hrs. However, there was one outstanding member of staff called Tru, who despite being a trainee went above and beyond without hesitation.

I viewed this hotel online and thought the reviews sounded positive, everything looked good and I was looking forward to using the spa facilities available. On this app, it states you have to phone before check in, that’s not the case. I arrived and the staff at the reception were so lovely and everything seemed well. I got to my room and immediately noticed all of the bits on the floor. Upon closer inspection, bits of food and cracked paint were everywhere. The carpets were covered in stains and it looked like someone had dragged their backside from the bed to the door! Upon getting into bed, I was shocked at the amount of pubic hairs that I was faced with. I was only staying for one night so I took the sheet off and laid on a towel, not wanting to cause too much inconvenience and due to a long day of travelling. However, I found this was quite unacceptable. The spa wasn’t very nice either, the steam room smelt stale and the swimming pool was barely deep enough to stand in, also smelling quite unpleasant. I was charged £80 to stay here and I was very disappointed with my stay. I certainly would not recommend this hotel.
