Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Clean and comfortable room with all the essentials required. Though right next to main road was not disturbed by any noise during the night. Good lighting in room and switches conveniently located above headboard. Room - especially en suite bathroom - a little dated and tired and in need of updating. Fan was not very good and TV very small given its distance from bed. The self-service buffet breakfast was basic but fine and the dining room clean and accessible and well laid out. Would have preferred option of a cooked breakfast as advertised.

Poor breakfast
Would have preferred a cooked breakfast. It wasn't even a full continental.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The proprietor was friendly and the room was acceptable.
The breakfast was a great disappointment.
A very minimal continental breakfast with burnt croissants.
Arrived early 1:30 pm when check in was 3pm.
Could not gain access & no one answered the phone. Went away came back at 3pm and even though there was someone there who could sign us in, they advised that the pub was not open til 4pm and that the 3pm check in was a bit of a mistake.
Breakfast was very good.
No evening dining facilities were available & there was no one around during the day time should something be required.
My expectation was that being an old coaching inn the hospitality would be alot better than it was. We were very disappointed
We could only have a continental breakfast - no option for a cooked breakfast a they didnt have a chef. Maybe a note on the website would be advisable.
