We are a family of 3 who came to Rogers in April 2019. Nicole was a lovely host. We had snacks, wine and fresh flowers awaiting our arrival. The home was clean with modern decor and more than big enough for our family of three. The master bedroom can easily hold a pack and play for families with infants. The second bedroom has a twin bed with a trundle, so really only holds 2 kids. To truly accommodate 6 people, one would have to use the pull out sofa in the living room. The kitchen and laundry room are well appointed, we did not lack for anything. I would note that the dining room table is at bar height. This was not a problem for us as our son is 9 years old, but younger children might have an issue with sitting on the tall chairs. The backyard was surprisingly big. My son observed that he should have brought his soccer ball to kick around. :) We did not use the grill or outdoor seating, but will if we come back in the summer.
The only drawbacks I noticed were a lack of family board games. We tend to play all day and come back to the home to relax in the evening. Some games to play as a family would be nice. It is also located right next to the USPS. They begin loading their trucks at 3:30 AM. Yikes! However, by the end of our week, we no longer noticed. The neighborhood is a bit shabby, but this did not prevent me from taking an evening walk alone. Despite these issues, we would stay here again.
The location is great. Downtown Rogers is thriving with shops and restaurants and is an easy walk. Our son had no trouble walking there and back. This is a central location for biking and hiking. You are a 15 minute drive from downtown Bentonville, 30 minutes from Fayetteville and 45 minutes from Eureka Springs. Hobbs Conservation area is about 20 minutes away. Phat tire bike shop has a location in downtown Rogers with the Railyard trails right behind the shop. Lake Atlanta trails are also accessible from downtown Rogers. We would have loved to visit these trails, but alas NONE of the bike shops in any of the nearby towns rent kids bikes!!! We got lucky though, because the Bentonville City Office actually rents bikes - adult and child - fairly cheap. We were able to access plenty of trails via the town of Bentonville. So, if you are planning to bike here with kids, BYOB.
All in all, our family gave NW Arkansas and this house in particular 2 thumbs up.
