This original "quirky" architectural gem circa 1977 was built to specification by renowned architect Edgard Pirrotta of Melbourne and is of high local significance. Qii house has been beautifully restored by local artisans in a bespoke manner and melds with its landscape. It offers 4 spacious bedrooms (including 2 King beds housed in separate quarters), a log fire, 2 split systems, a bar and alfresco living; including a large elevated sunset deck; a garden Tea House/Meditation room and an eco Bath House.
Big enough for two, the bespoke bath is encased in bamboo with it's lid embellished by a medallion depicting mermaids and fish, hand-made by artisans in Haiti from recycled oil drums. It is Heather's favourite "sit-spot". In the "hot tub" you can meditate, use eucalyptus oil, even have a glass of champagne, lay back and inhale the aromas of the forest and just be in the moment. A perfect way to engage all your senses. For those seeking a deeper connection with nature there is a kilometre rainforest walking circuit on the property.
Unwind and explore the unknown. Enjoy a relaxing retreat away from "business as usual" overlooking Japanese inspired gardens of simple beauty and an endless forest wilderness landscape.
The Qii house experience will ignite all your senses ensuring you leave feeling refreshed and energised!
A beautiful destination in all the seasons, this property offers, comfort, opulence, silence and privacy.
Erskine Falls is located 5kms away and Erskine river only metres away plus a mecca of waterfalls within a 10 km radius. Walking and cycling tracks are in abundance, in addition, your dining options throughout the property will make for a foodies paradise. Garden gazebo, outdoor pizza oven, BBQ, alfresco area, breakfast bar and various places within the Japanese garden to sit, eat and drink. About 155 species of bird life have been seen in the Otway coastal region so come prepared with wild bird seed. The antics of the kookaburras, the galahs, the parrots are very amusing whilst venturing deeper into the bushland you may even spot a more shy Rufus Bristle Bird. Binoculars and hiking sticks are provided at Qii House to enhance your experience.
The native flora is mid to highly significant. Heather has been researching, and placing wooden plaques around the property giving both botanical and common names. Kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, echidnas, koalas, rare and abundant exotic birdlife can be seen all year round on a daily basis at Qii House.
