The hotel was situated perfectly for the area we explored and enjoyed. We followed advice where to eat and drink and we were lucky to meet a local who told us the petit bus with an N on are free to use and you can catch this to the many beaches and further into town if you like. For the beaches other than the grande place you catch the bus near the Radisson around the corner from the hotel. Perfect. If you go to the grande place there's a lovely kiosk that do great snacks (affordable) to take with you called Snack le Basta. to the left of the plage looking out to sea around the corner of the hill. The area from the hotel and down towards the front is lovely with pretty streets, shops, cafes etc and lovely architecture everywhere. We enjoyed a local aperitif at bar L'Artnoa and a delicious set menu across from the bar at the bistro Au Haou . The local daily markets are a delight and you can find fabulous ice cream next to Les Halles (covered market hall).
Sadly, we didn't get the room we booked (superior with a queen bed) instead received a compact room with a zipped up twin so not providing the comfort and experience we expected and we weren't refunded. Our smaller room did offer the use of beach basket with towels at reception ,a cup of tea/water and a chocolate. There's no separate shampoo and conditioner if you prefer so I purchased these. No decaf coffee at breakfast and there's smokers in the garden area. Lovely hotel and breakfast choice nevertheless. We love Biarritz
