I stayed on Saturday night (25th Nov) and I was thoroughly disappointed with the noise level with which no warning was given.
I booked this room months ago and therefore there has been plenty of time for you advise me about the function that was on in the pub.
We got back from a local wedding reception by 11pm, we walked in to our room and it was almost vibrating by the base of the music, I could literally hear the lyrics word for word. I came down to complain but no one was really bothered, you advised it would finish at 1am. Music continued past 1am and then to add on to the noise the moving of the furniture almost felt like you were having a joke. To pay £120 for a room to not be able to get to sleep until after 2am due to the venue’s fault is totally unacceptable.
You’ve already got my money so I don’t expect you to offer any kind of refund, goes without saying I’ll give my own review on this but for future guests, there is no valid reason why you shouldn’t give some warning of such events so guests can make their own choice whether to continue with the booking or not.
