Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. This was single handedly one of the worst hotel stays of my entire adult life. The check in staff questioned if I was actually disabled since I booked myself an accessible room. This was my first trip out of my home in 6 months since ive become disabled. That same night check in member decided to ignore us the whole rest of our stay after I spoke with the GM about how terrible it was to be treated poorly because I did not fit the look of someone with a disability in her eyes. We booked a king accessible room with a pull out couch bed. She informed me that I did not book a room like that and if I wanted a room with a pull out couch I would have to call Expedia and see if they would let me cancel and rebook. I told her nevermind we would get sleeping bags. No clean towels ause all of the cleaning staff was off for the holidays. The same overflowing trash on the third floor outside of our elevator stayed there from the time we arrived until 2 am the daywe were leaving when housekeeping was walking on our floor cleaning rooms for the first time since our stay. Our toilet started messing up on Thanksgiving and had to fix it ourself because "maintenance was off for Thanksgiving". There was one manager running the whole hotel on Thanksgiving. The breakfast area was packed, there was food everywhere, trash overflowing, no forks and absolutely filthy because there was no kitchen attendant just the 1 single person running the whole hotel.

It's convenient, decent and fairly clean. It's a no frills bed and tv. You can tell it's an older holder that's had a lot of lipstick slapped over it. Only one elevator works. Old tub in the bathroom with plates covering the old light fixture outlets, painted over. Vent in the bathroom doesn't work. The fixtures are loose in the shower. Low water pressure. Very plain and basic. The AC/heat unit worked good, that's one plus. There was a hot breakfast included, not the best but it'll do. My wife and I stayed for the weekend, we didn't get to use the hot tub or pool because it was crowded with large families and children. No vending machines, ice only on the first floor (that I could find.) No great views or anything but it's a place to stay for the night if you're traveling. Easy access to food and shopping. Door dashing was easy and quick. I did have to stand there about 15 minutes waiting to check in with a sign that the attendant was "helping other guests." I don't hold that against them though. The TV only had like 20 channels and they didnt' come in very well, a few of them didn't work at all. My room overlooked the ac units, trash cans and dumpster, and the corner of the building. Lovely! I was woken up on Sunday morning to the sound of trash cans being dragged across the parking lot. The neighbors were very load quite early in the morning as well. If you're looking for extras and frills, a high class luxury stay, this isn't it. It's a cheap bed and breakfast on the go.

Breakfast was inedible, with burned eggs and dried-out sausage (cinammon rolls were fine), and really, really bitter and cheap coffee. This was a football game weekend, which is always hard in Birmingham, and I assume it was understaffed AND only one elevator working, so any help the kitchen needed was probably stuck on another floor...

WORST STAY EVER
Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Front desk worker was rude upon checkin. She let me walk up and stand at the desk for a couple minutes without so much as a greeting while she looked at the computer screen. Not friendly during whole process. Both shades were broken in our room, so we couldn’t even open them. We tried to open one and the whole thing just fell in the floor. They had to have known because part of one shade was in the closet. They were hanging up all crooked, so the light from the parking lot came in on all sides which made it hard to sleep at all. There were no linens at all in the room for the couch bed. The bathroom didn’t have a working fan, so it was so steamed up by the time your shower was over that you might as well not have taken one. The shower fixtures were falling apart, along with the bathroom tile. The water also had almost no pressure at all. When we went down to breakfast, all of the coffee containers were empty and it was barely 8 am. Only one elevator was working, so it was faster to take the stairs. We literally waited on an elevator for 5 mins and it never came to our floor, so we ended up carrying our luggage down the stairs to leave.

Terrible Experience!
Staff was friendly but the room stank due to no ventilation of any kind (including exhaust fan in bathroom). Key cards for the room and ice area would only work for about 15-30 minutes then had to be re-programmed. Overall, the hotel is rundown and in serious need of upgrades. Also, not within walking distance of anything after dark due to position off the main thoroughfare, remoteness, and poor outdoor lighting.
