We would book again!

Overall this property was amazing. A few things seemed a little dirty/worn but not food areas or bathrooms - those were great. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful. The stairs are steep on the outside and on the inside but as long as you're careful they are fine. We got 7" of snow which was incredible! But you would for sure need 4 wheel drive if there was potential for winter weather. The driveway is steep. The location of the house is wonderful. We loved easy access to Blowing Rock and Boone. The view from the deck are wonderful. We saw a deer outside our bedroom window. We really enjoyed the pool table. The air hockey and ping pong are in the unheated garage so it was too cold for us to use those but would be great during warmer weather. The neighborhood that the house is in is really nice and felt totally safe. It was me, my husband, and our 2 adult sons. We all agreed that we'd like to rent the same place next year!

Awesome location

House was nice. I think they need to indicate that driveway is very steep and you can bottom out very easily. Grill was not cleaned by previous person and we actually had issues with water being orange and the well pump - most likely due to rain. Location and the house itself awesome - if you’re looking for views this wouldn’t be the prime place. Was awesome that they have and outside covered area off porch to eat and gather under as it was rain for half our stay. One of the reasons I picked this place was the availability of crib, and indicated child safe. It delivered on that with exception that baby gate for stairway could be better.

Great house for both adults and kids

We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Bear. The location was great and we were able to enjoy a day of river tubing in Todd, a nice hike at Elk Knob State Park, and about an hour's drive to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. We had two families with 4 adults and 3 kids and the house layout was perfect. The kids had plenty of things to entertain themselves once we were settled in for the evenings. The adults enjoyed the gorgeous views from the balcony. The covered balcony was amazing with a couple of rain storms that came through. Overall we really enjoyed the home. Our only complaint was that the beds could use a little attention. But that wouldn't keep us from staying here again.

A lovely cozy cabin!

My fiancé and I stayed here with another couple for the weekend and had a great time. The owners were really helpful in accommodating a couple of requests we had, so they were excellent hosts! It’s a lovely home, but the driveway is a bit tricky so be sure you go slowly when you back out. The kitchen is upstairs and the steps are kind of steep, but the grippy mats on the steps are helpful. The pool table is a lot of fun and there’s a gas fire pit on the porch where you get a great view of the stars, so it has some nice amenities. Super cute cabin with comfy beds and showers were nice. Will stay here again!

The cabin itself is beautiful. Even better than the pictures. The view from the upper deck was amazing and perfect for relaxing and coffee! Baby it’s cold outside!

Beautiful property in an upscale neighborhood. Outstanding eastward view from the enormous second floor deck! Great place to watch the sunrise. Upgraded appliances and very comfortable beds. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to change the way the garbage is handled. It was pretty inconvenient to have to haul the garbage several miles to a dumpster. Perhaps a $50 fee and the garbage could be taken by the cleaning crew. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property.

Overall nice cabin with beautiful Mountain View’s

The property was nice and looked like the photos in the listing. Unfortunately the fireplace did not work which was disappointing but the owners were very apologetic and offered a gift card for the inconvenience. Cabin was clean and had good amenities. The only cons were there were not a lot of bath towels. We had a party of 7 and were staying for a week, there was one towel per guest. Also, you have to take your trash to a landfill which we never did find. Being that it was Christmas, we had a lot of trash so that was really inconvenient on our way out last Sunday with a car full of luggage. Finally, if you are staying during Christmas there is not a tree. This was not typical of other cabins we stayed in at Christmas. Not a big deal if you don’t mind bringing your own but it did add extra luggage to our trip with presents for three kids and luggage for seven. Owners were very responsive and overall we enjoyed our stay.

ASU Move-In

We rented this property during Freshman move in at App State. The property was very clean, well equipped, and beautiful. Our main issues were beds were not comfortable, and driveway was difficult to manage with larger SUVs. Overall we had a great stay.

Amazing Weekend Getaway

Beautiful home in a great location just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Located in a quiet relaxing neighborhood, but with easy access to Blowing Rock and Boone for shops, restaurants, etc. The whole house is great, but the top level deck/outside dining room is especially wonderful. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Would definitely come back and stay again!

Great place for get togethers!

Plenty of room/bathrooms for 3 couples. Lots of things here that have not been in other rented housing. One suggestion: glue down mats on steps- we thought these were hazardous.
