It was good. Only a few issues that we just dealt with: had to unplug phone in room because it kept rining once even with handset off, waffle maker was broke, had to wait a long time for food during breakfast and clerk refused to print me a receipt.
One of the worst nights sleep we’ve had at a hotel. We checked in around 8:30 and had a long drive. Upon getting to our room, we needed to turn the heat up, noticing it was cool in the room. I tried to figure how to turn the heat on. It would not work. I went down to the front desk. The desk clerk, said “you have the room with the heater that doesn’t work”. So she had me space heater and said this should work to heat your room. WELL it didn’t. The temperature outside was 19 outside. The heater heated only a small area of the room. We froze all night. Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. We will never stay at a Hampton Inn again. Avoid this hotel at all cost.
Loved the proximity to Fresh Market and Publix and that the room had a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was nice and the water/cookies in the afternoon were unexpected!
The staff was amazing. The room was spacious for our needs. The AC filter may needed to be changed in our room because there was a faint odor. If you're staying there for a couple of days, it's a great experience.
Ironically, we switched hotels because our other place wasn't staying cool enough - unfortunately, the same thing happened here. The AC would kick on for 5 seconds max and our room wouldn't get cool enough to be comfortable with 2 young infants. We found a dirty washcloth in our shower. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. We had a family of 4 staying and was only given 3 bath towels...Front desk person after we had brought our issues to their attention wasn't very customer friendly - said we should have told him last night - he obviously isn't a parent, because although it was uncomfortable, after we got the kids settled down for sleep, I wasn't going to move them to another room in the middle of the night. We managed with the 3 towels in the morning before leaving. Front desk was supposed to have a manager call us about our stay but haven't heard anything.
