This is our second stay at a Quality Inn on a 5-day cross-country roadtrip. The first was underwhelming, but adequate with some bright spots (pool, free hot breakfast). This stay has been abysmal - only bright spot is the staff who are friendly and appear to be doing the best they can in a bad situation. Pool - green water/“closed permanently” said the front desk. No signage save the street sign. Security locks at three of the four outside doors I used were disabled/broken - one with multiple layers of duct tape. Locks on many of the hotel room inner doors appear to have been forced (broken locks, padlocks on doors, multiple empty screw holes, door repairs) - my door was missing the security bar (appeared to have been ripped from the wall). They appear to have had some issues with security as evidenced by two plugin style security cameras (one step above a baby monitor) roughly mounted in the hallway. There was a gaping hole in the wall in the hallway, roughly the size of a doorway, with multiple dangling electrical wires across the opening. Room was adequately clean - faint smell of smoke, but not horrible. Breakfast was meager - coffee, cereal, stack of white bread, couple of jugs of juice and milk - definitely no redemption here (Closer to what I expected at the first stay). In my opinion, stay anywhere else - this place looks like it’s just waiting for a problem - the security issues need to be addressed.
