Just as anticipated we enjoyed a luxurious stay. We actually had a wedding in Berrima and opted to stay at Peppers as it had been a long wished for experience.

The place is nicely heritage, however the Covid-19 mentality as regards the contents of the minibar, were lamentable. Only 2 little cartons of milk...nothing else...room service had to be organised at the bar in person as well. We'll probably look elsewhere next time.

We had planned to only stay for about 4 days. Our plans changed due to a family crisis and we were there for 10 days. In that time the whole staff team were sympathetic and supportive in many ways. They are a great team and worthy of high praise. Peppers is not just somewhere to stay it is a "destination". The property is oozing in charm of years gone by. You need to see it for yourself!

The building itself was lovely and our room was good and spacious. It was disappointing there was only a basic small tv and no other options than free to air. I expect nice places to have foxtel or Netflix these days so it very much limited my relaxing Saturday night when I wanted to watch something. The bed wasn’t overly comfortable and I had a sore back the next day. We went to eat at the bar but found only fussy expensive options when we just wanted something simple like a club sandwich we could have in front of the fire. Speaking of, there was a notice you had to ask for these to be turned on. I would expect in winter these are on by default and it makes it less inviting to have to ask for it to be started. I would have been more likely to buy something from the bar and sit next to the fire. The driveway was full of potholes and not food for anyone’s car, not sure why you can’t spend the money to fix it and make it better for guests.
