This is a very well-run hotel with friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. The room was very comfortable, although the "high-tech" lighting took a bit of getting used to. The buffet breakfast was good with a cooked-to-order option if required. The gym and spa were well-appointed and the pool area is a nice quiet place to relax in the sun. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away and the hotel provides free beach towels each day. There's not much going on in the evening, though, so we walked into the town centre for drinks and dinner - about 10 mins to the first bars and another 10 for decent restaurants, though there's a good local fish restaurant about 5 mins away.

The hospitality of this hotel is more than anything. Every single staff is nice, polite and helpful. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel when I run the Ironman race in Calella again.

We came to Calella for the Ironman 70.3 race and we had looked at multiple hotels before choosing to stay at Hotel Sant Jordi and we are very happy we decided to stay here. The staff provide first class service, nothing is too much hassle for them. The Spa is incredible, and the fact you get entry every day with your room was a lovely addition. Our double room had a wonderful bathroom and balcony, the bed was really comfy and the addition of the coffee machine was a nice surprise. If you have a chance to have the breakfast, make sure you do as it was superb. If we come back to Calella we will definitely be staying here again and we wanted to thank the general manager for his wonderful attentiveness and friendliness we experienced over the 5 days we stayed.
