Spongy floor was disconcerting. Hot room, windows faced other room windows, so it was difficult to cool the room down.
Old Coach house style B&B, stone walls and uneven creaking corridors all form part of the charm of this building.
Large bar and restaurant area and a courtyard with tables and parasols.
Continental breakfast was nice, but no hot option available.
Room and bathroom were a nice size, clean and had everything you needed for one night.
Staff were friendly.

Ok
Convenient location for our visit and it was comfy enough but the decor and rooms could do with a refresh.
Breakfast was basic but otherwise ok.
I THINK THAT THE STAFF NEEDS URGENT STAFF TRAINING ESPECIALLY SERVICE IN THE RESTAURANT I SAT FOR 25 MINUTES WAITING FOR MY EVENING MEAL TO BE TAKEN AND NO ONE BOTHERED TO APPROACH ME TO ORDER ,I WAS SO DISILLUSIONED THAT I GOT UP AND LEFT AND WENT OUT TO EAT SERICE ZERO AND THEY WERE NOT BUSY SO NO EXCUSES.
Place was near where i needed to be bar staff in rhe day where very nice
The room was big but afraid needed sone tlc haning coofee stains that hace ground in on the table kettle needed descaling some wall paper even over the snug bar area needed attention these details reflect on the ratings. My partner had decaf coffee in the day but at brrakfast was told we dont have decaf? Also we paid for a room with free breakfast again told by staff wheh booking in we coukd have a cooked breakfast pay a litte more as we had a free breakfast but ended up paying full price for it. Even if we had a continental there was no pastries just yogurt/fruit flapjack..
It was a lovely old hotel full of interesting history .

Premium price room (weekend) for a pleasant but average hotel. Inclusive breakfast is toast and a drink. Anything substantial is a pricey extra, which feels cheeky given the room cost.
Breakfast was a disappointment but a great hotel and will stop there again but not pay for breakfast

Not too bad.
Very comfy bed although stained carpets and stained stairwell I guess we were in the builders section. Slept like a baby though and everything was clean. Did the job and will return if working here again.
It was ok. The room was tired. It was at the front, not a problem but very thin curtains which did not block the light or muffle the noise. The duvet was too lightweight and I was cold.
The breakfast, although included, was rubbish. The coffee was weak and tasteless. The pastries etc were of very poor quality.
On the plus side my room was big. The hotel is well situated.
The staff did seem a little grumpy.
Very pleased with check in and all staff. Room was clean and suitable. Parking outside no problems, location very good.
Will definitely stay here again.
Excellent value for money.
