I know people can have a bad day, be overworked, etc. but the receptionist was particularly inept and rude. At checkin, she was incapable of locating my Ezpedia reservation, asked me repeatedly if inhad a reservation, walked back to the restaurant twice, and then she found it. Next, she stated I had only reservation for two adults, wantimg to charge extra for my 9 yr old daughter. I brought up my Expedi reservation after pleading with her for a temporary wifi code since I don't have an international roaming plan on my cell phone. Finally, pulling out my work phone from mu luggage, I brought up the reservation and then she admitted I had a reservation for three. She then threw the key across the counter amd said "ok". No mention of parking in back (Ia already knew) , or anything about the hotel. It's worth mentioning that the receptionist made this the worst checkin experience I have had anywhere in at least my ten years of international travel.

Very safe as they have onsite gated parking, the rooms are well kept. Excellent breakfast ! And the good part for us was the bar next door to get a few drinks after a long harrowing drive in the dark on rt 1 after leaving the airport with no luggage do to it being lost in transit. A nice stopping point on the way from point A to point B.

When we arrived at 1 am there was some sort of block party going on in the main front building. Loud music and about 50 people. But once we got back into the compound to our room, we couldn't hear much. Breakfast was delicious and not too pricey. Beds were a little hard but we found that was normal at all the hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica. Definitely a nice hotel for a stay in Canas.

Pleasant, non-“touristy” urban hotel
Modest, clean, comfortable hotel in downtown Las Canas. Family-owned and operated; owner’s young adult daughter (pleasant and helpful) staffed the front desk; extended family dined in the hotel dining room (good food, fairly priced, breakfast included with room). Secured parking, convenient location just off main Costa Rica Highway (Route 1).

The area has a lot of white water rafting, the hotel is nice has a nice pool and is close to the rafting companies

Upgrades needed
The staff were very attentive, and the hotel common areas (restaurant, swimming pool) are clean, old and nice. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning works well and the parking garage is secure and handy. The rooms needs serious upgrade: beds are uncomfortable and mattresses were sinking in places. The showers were pathetic, the shower head needs to be replaced, the door of the shower would not be closed. The food in the restaurant is terrible. The swimming pool was clean and in good shape.

Great stopping or base point for CR travels
Booked Cana Brava as a sleepover point between our arriving flight to Liberia and our drive to Jaco. It's not the Hilton but it's clean, comfortable, excellent affordable in house restaurant and free breakfast at half the cost of the Hilton in Liberia by time all cost are factored. Area is safe right off the highway and near town square a d a couple of markets. Staff was friendly and eager to answer questions. Safe secured parking on site.

El hotel es bonito, me gusto la localización, los empleados muy amables(guarda, meseros, señoras de limpieza) la comida muy rica. Pero pienso que en el baño de la habitación hacia falta como que hicieran una limpieza un poco más detallada, por otro lado no tenian suficientes paños por lo que los paños para la piscina prometian llevarlos al area de piscina de mala manera (la recepcionista) y nunca los llebaban, además cuando llegue la repcionista me indico que mi reservación no estaba pagada aunque lo pague días antes, como andaba el comprobante de pago se arreglo el mal entendido. En general creo que la administración esta fallando un poco y el precio es muy alto para todas las fallas que tienen.
