The size of the apartment is decent, it's equipped with a few things (kettle, microwave, stove, fridge,vacuum cleaner, cutlery, pots and a few plates). The air conditioning is old and not strong enough for August heat, unfortunately. There's only one unit for the whole apartment which would be all right if it worked properly. Make sure you check for shower gel, soap, tea and coffee, as well as the TV remote in case you need it. If you don't find them, ask for them. The parking lot is really tight, but it is closed and safe. It's a good place for visiting Cannes for a longer stay, we were just in transit. The director/receptionist who checked us out was very kind.

Clean room, good location close to Cannes Port and Old Town. Absolutely fine for a 2 star hotel. Basic and a bit tired but works well as a base if you’re not bothered about luxury.

Walid and Edison are just plain amazing; just super grateful! both super welcoming, very caring and overall it was amazing and can't wait to come back! I love that it was very clean, well located and not pretentious as a property; just perfect!

staff were helpful during checkin and very nice to be able to park in a secure area. sncf station is not far and there are plenty of dining options around. promenanade is walkable as well. rooms were clean, comfortable. there is a balcony from the room breakfast was nice. baguette, croissant, juice, apple, coffee/tea. breakfast is served rather than a buffet. good deal overall and might stay longer next time

Pleasant stay at Hotel Esperanto

Olivier was awesome when we checked in- very helpful and happy to speak English for us. Keep in mind that there’s only somebody at the front desk until maybe 7 PM, so you must check in before that point otherwise you won’t get into the parking garage and there won’t be anyone to give you your key. The rooms are a bit small as is the case everywhere in France, but there was still room to walk around even with 2 suitcases. Only frustration is that they came into the room despite the do not disturb sign on the door, we had clothes spread out on the bed and they moved everything around to clean, so that was annoying. Could hear a baby crying across the hall but we travel with earplugs so it ended up not being much of an issue. The walk to the downtown/Marina area isn’t too bad, (uphill on the way back) but wear good shoes. Parking at the hotel is at the green gate On the right just before the hotel entrance; since it is a one-way street keep a lookout for it - park in front and go check in and they will lead you to it. If you pass it you have to drive around several circuitous streets to get back.

I actually ended up not being able to stay in this hotel due to a water leak incident that occurred before I arrived, but the proprietor of the hotel was very friendly and had kindly arranged for me to have a room at another hotel in Cannes. He also took the time to give me thorough recommendations of things to do and see in Cannes and helped me to feel oriented in the city. All in all, I thought the hotel management handled the situation very professionally

Cosy hotel near centre of Cannes.

A cosy hotel in Cannes. It's a 5 minute walk to the lively part with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is located in a very safe part of the city. Denis the owner is absolutely amazing, he was superb in helping us planning our day trip to Monaco and then he helped us plan a route on our onward trip to Toulon. He also helped with lots of useful advice on Marseille as that's where we were eventually heading. He's probably one of the nicest people we've ever met! Our room was out the back and we had a little terrace which was lovely. The rooms were a bit small, but that was the character of the hotel, so it's not a bad point. I thought the room looked nicer in real life than in the photos. There was free and very good wifi. We had a small hire car and was able to park it in a secure car park around the back, it might be a bit of a tight squeeze if you've got a massive car, but would still be do-able. If you're considering booking this hotel then I'd say go for it, we can't fault it.

The owner of the hotel, Denis is brilliant. He is so knowledgeable about the surrounding places from Monaco to St Tropez. Tells you the best places to visit, how to get there and even the history of the places Highly recommended

Denis was wonderful in giving us tips for trip planning, he not only gave us direction for the places we should visit in Nice, he also recommended places to eat including the dishes to order. He has made our visit in Cannes and Nice all the more wonderful. Location of the hotel is convenient, only a few minutes walk then we're in Cannes town centre. The train station is also only a couple of minutes away on foot. Secure parking space is great which enabled us to leave the car behind to explore the region on foot/public transport. It was overall a very pleasant stay.
