I had a wonderful time with my little dog Molly. The home is fantastic with a classic, timeless feel to it. Great views and the beach is very easy to access. I had a fair bit of work to do from the home and had asked Ellen if WiFi reliable. I had absolutely no problems with internet and was able to get done what needed to be done. And how cool is Whanganui!! Thank you Ellen for letting Molly and I stay in your wonderful home. Mike

Spacious units, clean and comfortable.

This is a lovely old hotel and the decor reflects that - full of charm and character. However, the age of the hotel means that the ensuites are a later addition and so are very small and basic. The room was clean and comfortable but the hall could have done with some vacuuming and the sliding door to the ensuite had come off its runners.

Clean, modern facilities.

Monday Cottage at Castlecliff is a charming and delightful holiday cottage. It has a very nostalgic feel, and the furnishings are brilliant to the period. It is close to the main beach which has lovely sunsets. For anyone wanting a true taste of period New Zealand then this is an ideal holiday base and location.

Great spot to spend a few days. Watching the sun go down on the ocean from the hot tub on the back deck was great.
