Check in was really poor. Hotels.com did not provide a hotel reference number, therefore when arriving out of hours we had great difficulty retrieving our room code. I called ahead a few days before to explain we would be arriving late, so was aware of the automatic check in, but after 20 mins of trying we had to call the on call staff member. I don't think I've ever met someone quite as rude as her. She was very angry, snapped at us and almost threw the confirmation at us when we were finally able to get into the reception.
I have to say though, despite the terrible service the hotel was clean, sufficient for our needs and the breakfast was absolutely fabulous.
Had we arrived during regular hours and not been faced with the angriest woman in France, I couldn't rate this hotel highly enough.
