The valet parking was disappointing. Sign said $42 valet parking, have to pay first which was $44 not $42, then get whacked another $10 for "overnight" parking....who stays there and doesn't stay over night? I feel bad for the attendants, who wants to tip after paying $54...
The Hyatt Place is actually a hybrid with an attached Hyatt Home (extended stay). Staying on King Street proper in Charleston was an excellent base to explore this lovely historical town. The morning breakfast included was excellent with many options to start your day off properly. The rooms were fine and the mini suite we had contained a sleeper sofa that provided more than adequate space for the three of us staying there. The inner courtyard entrance just off King Street provided a quiet respite from the main drag's bustle.
All in all this is a well run hotel complex which is A in cleanliness and upkeep. The Staff is welcoming and competent. Highly recommended.
Property was conveniently located and you can walk to shops and beautiful sights in Charleston. We took a Uber everywhere out of the immediate area but there was parking available. The staff truly show you southern hospitality with their warm and friendly nature. The breakfast was wonderful!!! We would highly recommend this hotel. 🏨
Great location for a value property. Right on king st with easy access to shopping & food. There was also a free city shuttle across from hotel that took you near sights of interest. Food at hotel was limited as the one restaurant onsite was not open S-M. Food at cafe was limited to cold cut sandwiches & pantry in lobby was severely under stocked. Free breakfast is worth waking up for
We stayed for a week and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The front desk employees were very professional and friendly. The cleaning staff did a great job. The breakfast buffet was hot and fresh every day. And the location was within walking distance to almost everything. If we ever visit Charleston again we will stay at this Hyatt again. 😊
Everyone was very friendly. This was our second time this year to the Hyatt house and will be back. The only downfall is no free parking so we spend a lot on the parking garage. Good breakfast with lots of options. Great location walkable to everything and easy to drive.
