Approximately 344-585 square feet, this state of the art studio features 1 Queen Bed or 2 Full Beds, and 1 Sofa Bed in the living area including a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot, bathroom and laundry situated in the common area. Maximum of 4 occupants.

Additional amenities include: cable television and DVD player.


The person checking in must be 21 years of age (or older). With this notion, please prepare a VALID ID and credit card in your name. A $100 Pre-Authorization from any major credit card upon checking in is required. Cash is not accepted. After purchase you will receive an email confirmation showing your name on the reservation as the guest checking in within 14 days of check in date. Please bring a valid form of Picture ID. However, if you would like to change the name of the person checking in after you have provided this information, there will be a $99.00 name change fee. Any damages will be charge upon check-out.

Resort check- in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. The nearest airport to The Lodge Alley Inn is Charleston International (CHS) which is 13 miles by car respectively.

Hence, if you have any concerns, our office are open 24 hours to respond to your requests. For here at The Lodge Alley Inn we ensure that your stay is comfortable and well-served to your satisfaction.


*** Parking Policy ***

Off-site valet parking. Cost: $33 per night for Bluegreen Owners; $38 per night for Non-Bluegreen Owners. Handicap parking in the city public parking garage located at 1 Cumberland St., or metered street parking, with a valid sticker or placard is free, however the owner must park their own vehicle. If someone with a handicap placard or sticker wishes to valet, they are subject to the same Owner/Non-Owner daily rates. Owners and guests may self-park in the city public parking garage located at 1 Cumberland St. for $2/hour, max $18/day without moving the vehicle. After midnight or when the vehicle is moved out and back into the garage, the clock resets and $2/hour, max $18/day rate begins. One vehicle per reservation. No trailers, RVs, motorcycles, or oversized vehicles allowed. City public parking phone: (843) 805-3232. The resort is not responsible for any damages to vehicles while in the public parking garage.


*** Pet Policy ***

No pets allowed. Subject to $300 fine. However, pets are permitted in RV parks only.

No smoking inside, including electronic cigarettes. Subject to $300 fine, unless if it's in a designated area.

Two-story (loft) units typically have spiral staircases, and other unit types also have staircases. We cannot guarantee unit placement. Due to the historic nature of the buildings, floor plans and exact sizes will vary among rooms and suites. While The Lodge Alley Inn does not offer daily maid service, complimentary towel exchange is available for guests staying less than 7 days. For guests staying 7 days or more, a complimentary mid-week cleaning service is provided. The Lodge Alley Inn is located in the heart of Downtown Charleston. Due to the urban location of the resort, guests may expect to hear city or street noise from guest rooms. The resort has white noise machines, ear plugs, and box fans available on request to help ease city, street and traffic noise.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned apartment, which features a fireplace. Conveniences include a phone, as well as a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Wonderful Visit!
We had an absolutely amazing time! The space was impeccably clean, beautifully inviting, and thoughtfully designed to make us feel right at home. The location was perfect, and everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was such a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely love to stay here again in the future.

Nostalgic property
Lodge Alley Inn is so historic, well maintained, clean and perfectly located on Bay St. Within walking distance to Market St, restaurants, The Battery, etc. Never needed transportation. Staff is sooo friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay!!!

Timeshare
When we rented from VRBO, we did not expect to be “roped” into a timeshare property visit. Upon arriving, the staff was pleasant and informed us that there was a “welcome gift” in the sitting room. We were greeted by an intro to the property and then by a presentation signup. Had we signed up for a trip through Cabella or Bass Pro, I get the requirement for attending their presentation. But we booked through VRBO and there was no mention of it being part of a timeshare. While a great location, it was not clearly marketed on the VRBO site as a timeshare property. This, my listing accuracy rating. The presenting staff was very good about not trying to sell us after we explained we did not expect to have to attend a presentation. Unfortunately, it did not leave a good impression and I would not rent again from this property. VRBO should not allow these properties on their site.

Perfect location! It was nice to be able to valet the car at the Inn and walk around. The hotel is a very short walk to The market, Rainbow Row and Pineapple Fountain. The Lodge Alley is over 200 years old so be mindful of that when booking. If you want a historic place to stay with prime location this is it!

We never saw the property because we were told our reservation was cancelled and made other last minute accommodations. I made several inquiries and was told it was cancelled.

Great location
Overall, very pleased. But upon check-in I was told that after 2 nights I would have to switch rooms. I booked more than 3 months in advance with no alteration to my booking. After repeating my displeasure with this inconvenience, they finally fixed it so I did not have to change rooms. The location couldn't have been more perfect! You could hear the street noise (didn't bother me), so if you go to bed early and have a room that faces the street, you might be bothered.

Best location in Charleston and very appropriate as the Inn is an old historic building. Not the best communication with the property manager Resort Rental Pros, but the staff at Lodge Alley Inn are so nice and helpful. They take good care of you. Just be sure to book well in advance! It’s our third time and we’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I loved our stay there. The place is perfectly situated within historic Charleston. Everything is within walking distance. The room was incredibly spacious, and we loved the balcony overlooking the fountain and trees below. Also the inside of the room was cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

My friend and I had a lovely stay at this property during the “Food and wine festival” in March. It was spacious and clean. Check in process was a bit lengthy but otherwise ok. Staff was pleasant. Location gets five starts!

Lodge Alley Inn Charleston
Great location on Bay St. in our favorite part of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the whole place is very clean and quiet. Many of the well known restaurants and the city market are within a couple blocks. We reserved one of the studio rooms which was plenty of room. I am not happy with the owner as they use a property management company called Resort Rental Pros. All communication is via email or text and they only give you partial information up front and right before you’re check in date. The front desk showed we had 2 reservations for the same week. Thankfully they were able to straighten it out. There is wording on the VRBO listing saying “we use photos from several units and you won’t know which one you’re getting until the day you arrive”. Not a good way to do business. I’ll just call The Lodge Alley Inn next time.

We loved the Lodge Alley Inn! Location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, historic sites. FYI parking is $35 a day not $26 as shown in listing - otherwise everything was perfect!
