All we needed!
This property was perfect for what we needed! It was extremely clean and updated. The location was OK, very short drive to Meeting and Market Streets. A tad noisy due to all the renovations going on around us, but that didnt bother us at all! There was a very diverse population around us, but we felt safe. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Misleading description!
Very loud (like a truck running its engine) in the middle of the night — kept us up most of our first night! Turns out, we discovered the next week, garbage trucks park at the back of the large, new-ish residential complex just behind the property and take their time dumping the large trash containers there… with lots of breaking glass noise, too! The description on the VRBO website greatly underplayed the disruption by the construction: “There is currently construction nearby that may add to the average street noise during working hours.” The construction was not “nearby;” it was right in front of the property, and the city ordinance only limits noise until 7:00 am, and the building does not have double pane windows, so the noise was LOUD. The dirt from the trucks going in and out of the construction site caused so much dust. A metal plate over one large hole in the street also made a loud booming sound every time cars drove over it, like a huge kettle drum! The microwave was not “plugged in” — but it turned out it was actually broken! It had to be replaced after the tech guy couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Shower upstairs drained very slowly so that even if you turned off the water to soap, it didn’t drain enough so that your feet were still in a puddle! The downstairs sink also didn’t drain. (My husband got Drano.) Some of the towels were very stinky — as though they had been left in the washing machine too long and got mildewy. We had to launder them..many more issues!

Convenient and comfortable
Husband and I had a pleasant few days in Charleston. This VRBO is just as pictured, but be aware that if you have a wide SUV like we do (Suburban), parking is challenging. We opted to park and walk or Uber for the duration. Also, the location is convenient and walkable to downtown (if you’re fit and it’s not hot), there is a lot of construction going on in the area.

Cool Location in Downtown Charleston
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Lots of cool restaurants in the neighborhood. We found the Family Dollar at the end of the block really convenient! We did not bring a car, but instead used Uber or Lyft all week. Lower King Street was a little far for us to walk, but it was an easy ride-share away. The listing could be a bit more accurate with the bed configuration. We thought one bedroom had a queen bed plus a sofa bed, but the sofa bed it actually in the living room, which was not preferred. But they did have an extra air matress in the 2nd bedroom which suited us well. The hosts were very quick to respond with any questions or needs. Thanks for the fun week!

Nice Getaway Place for the Holidays
I stayed at this rental for a few days over Christmas with my son and daughter and all three of us were very impressed with the accommodations this rental had to offer. Nestled in a street where there is a lot of renovation happening in the area, the house is a short walk to all of the main attractions Charleston has to offer. It is the perfect size for the three of us as the two bedrooms that share a bathroom featured very cozy comfortable beds and the downstairs living area features a sofa that extends out to accommodate a "third bed" with a convenient second bathroom just off the living room. There are enough cooking utensils, pots, and pans, but who needs that when you have such fine restaurants to walk to in Charleston?! Communication was professional, responsive, and very courteous with the property manager! If you are looking for a nice little getaway rental for no more than four people, I highly recommend this rental.

Charming place. No problems.
The place was as advertised and a little larger than I thought. It is a standalone building and is a short walk from N. King street. There is a fair amount of construction going on, but it didn't cause a problem with noise. It just feels a little like a construction zone around the property. The property itself has a fence and feels safe and secure. It's close to Malagon, Big Bad Breakfast, Chez Nous, Verne's and Chubby Fish. The kitchen was reasonably stocked, although there were no wine glasses. I've stayed in hotels and rentals in Charleston at least once a year for the past 15 years. This place is a good value, especially for two bedrooms. The takeaway message: The place is great and we'd stay there again.

property is exactly like described in listing. Clean, comfortable, and the location is very convenient to all the places of interest in Charleston. Parking was a little challenging, but we drove a fairly large SUV. once we maneuvered the park, everything was great!

Disappointed
The house was very nice & well decorated. However on our second night stay we returned from dinner to find bugs on our beds & ceilings. After contacting the property manager whom talked with the owner they advised they were “swarming termites” & suggested we change the linens & keep lights turned off. Needless to say we did not stay & went to find a hotel. I was disappointed that the property manager did not contact me again as she said she would. It has now been a week ago.

Nice little house in Charleston
The house itself is a nice little place with good finishes etc. The location is great in terms of being close to everything. But, is also a bit tough as it is in the middle of a construction block with equipment and work being done on all sides. Hosts were great and very responsive. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Great landing spot for exploring Charleston!
We stayed with our family of four and German Shepherd Dog for 4 nights. We picked this house for the location, tucked right behind an upscale apartment complex, and in between King and Meeting Streets. The house is cute and has modern appliances. Most importantly, the beds are super comfortable! There is a suitable place next to the apartment complex to walk the dog which is frequently used by the local residents and their pups. The immediate area is clearly undergoing rejuvenation. There is new construction going on across the street, and two old houses next door slated for restoration. We saw a lot of young adults on our walks around. College of Charleston is less than a mile away. If you are looking for a place with a view or to sit outdoors with a drink, this is not it. (Besides, in a Charleston summer you don’t really want to sit outside much.) However, this place was perfect for what we wanted. We were able to walk to most of our desired locations, including “Big, Bad, Breakfast”, a local wine shop, museums, shopping, etc. Meeting Street is mostly shaded by trees, VERY IMPORTANT for walking in the summer. We took day trips to Magnolia Plantation (which is now largely a wetland/wildlife preserve, highly recommend for a family trip) and the beach. We drove out to Folly Beach one morning, it took about 20 minutes. (A word to the wise, we learned on arrival that the beach does not allow dogs from 10:00 am to around 6:00pm during the summer months.) Most of all, our hosts were very pleasant and responsive to our few requests. One note on parking: best to have passenger-side occupants exit the car before trying to enter the alley, and do the reverse on exiting the property. (It’s all part of the adventure!) Great for a short stay! I’m sure younger adults without kids would also find this a great locale for exploring some of the trendier areas of Charleston. Also, look up the history of Line Street and Charleston’s Westside neighborhoods. Pretty interesting!

2 couples, 4 days in Charleston
Home was clean comfortable, and suited our needs. Proximity to many King Street establishments was great, although we spent more time downtown. Uber was convenient, efficient, and affordable. Could have used more towels, hot water took a long time to come to temperature. Floor mat for wet/dirty shoes would be useful, as well as a full length mirror. Main reason we chose this property was 2 bed, 2 bath, and on site parking (although fully noted, very tight) Overall a great experience.
