Staff were friendly but room had no ventilation. Smelled stale and the AC unit smelled moldy. There were absolutely no vents in the room or air circulation. The rooms were carpeted and looked unsanitary. Hotel needs to be updated.

was warned about leaving items in vehicle due to thief. very poor lighting in room. tape was stuck all over the ceiling in the room. no one replenished bottled water, coffee . was charged $25 a day for valet parking and every time we left the parking lot were charged another $ 30. due to parking costs we moved our vehicle to off site parking and were still charged for 3 days we did not use it. no printed copy of the bill available at check out. unable to dispute some charges at that time. got 2 statements e mailed to me with a difference of $ 162.06 and appears i was billed both. not a good stay. would not recommend

Yikes. Have stayed at other Aloft properties so booked for a 48 hours trip without even thinking. Disheveled staff and front desk (papers everywhere), filthy elevators and hallways (crumbs, stains, etc) and a musky smell in the rooms. Someone had used the room toilet before I checked in. Felt unsafe with homeless folks begging for money right outside the hotel. Does not seem like a secure hotel at all.

We had no water, at all. They shut off the water at 1030am on our second day so we couldn’t shower or brush our teeth or do anything to get clean, it was awful.

Having to pay $25-$30 per day to park is definitely on the high side. Cute hotel. Clean. Dog friendly. Bar area looked nice, didnt use it as this was a quick one night trip. Was very humid in hallways. Room was spacious, had great views, comfortable. Was told incorrect times for breakfast, so missed out. Staff very friendly.

Great location, not great maintenance/upkeep
The property is attractive and in a great Uptown location that's close to so many restaurants and bars, and very walkable to the Fourth Ward, Spectrum Center, performing arts center and even the stadium. However, maintenance and upkeep could be improved. The room we checked into had a broken toilet and a phone that didn't work. We were moved to a different room that was in good repair, but TV reception was spotty, with on-screen messages periodically saying there was a problem with the connection. There was no AC in hallways/corridors, so it was very warm and stuffy (in July), which is a little offputting. Our stay was fine, and the location was great, but we'd likely look for another accommodation next time.
