The property is a smaller hotel, so we didnt expect 5 star amenities. With that said, the property is dated. It desperately needs a facelift in the hallways and lobby. One of our rooms needed to be changed due to stains on the bed and bedding, and mold & mildew in the shower. The shower is luke warm at best so that was pretty difficult. We had to ask for an iron and blow dryer from the front desk as they were not in the room. The TV did not work at first so I had to figure out how to restart the satellite service. It was quiet mostly because there werent many guests. It was ok. Definitely nothing special. If you need a decent room for a night at a relatively inexpensive price, you can do worse, but you could definitely do better. I probably would not stay here again.

New renovated, clean and an easy stop off of I75 for an overnighter. Amenities match the price point. Comfortable bed and shower. Lady at evening reception, super friendly, quick and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

The room we stayed in smell terrible. Says non smoker but sure did smell like it was a smoker room. Bed sheets had hair all over it like it was never change. Pillow cases were yellow and did not look clean. Luckily we had our own pillows from our road trip. Would have brought it to service attention but it was almost midnight when we checked in. Suprise this hotel has positive reviews. Either it’s fake reviews or we just got a bad room.

We were disappointed with the "suites". The most disconcerting was the security/ room safety. The door to the room did not fit well and there was light showing through from the hall on 3 sides - questioned the safety in a fire - no seal of the room from the hall. Overall it was a tired hotel.

Staff excellent, very considerate. Room was corner room, clean, but the door stuck so badly, making it hard to open and then close again to lock it. Guy next door was on the phone until after midnight, and we could hear every word he was saying, even though he was in the next room.

Tepid hot water in the shower and none at the sink. Told we didn’t turn knob far enough. There was no way we could have turned it any further. Hair in the sink and it wasn’t mine. Breakfast choices okay. Won’t stay here again.

Review for Douglas Inn & Suites I recently stayed at Douglas Inn & Suites, and while it offered a bit more comfort than a Super 6, it didn't quite reach the standards of a Howard Johnson. Upon checking in, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman at the front desk, which was a nice touch. However, despite being the only guest at the motel during my visit, I was placed in a room on the second floor. This presented some challenges, as my room was situated between an elevator on one side and a very loud Coke machine with an ice maker on the other. The noise made it challenging to relax at times. The bathroom, unfortunately, had some brown stains on the shower floor that looked like mildew. This was disappointing and detracted from the overall cleanliness of the room. As for breakfast, I was expecting a continental spread but found the offerings to be somewhat limited. They served pre-made biscuits, fake eggs, gravy, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, apple and orange juice, and coffee and milk. However, there were no meats, fruits, or vegetables, which felt like a missed opportunity for a more satisfying meal. Overall, Douglas Inn & Suites has its merits, especially with its friendly staff and decent accommodations. However, improvements in room placement, cleanliness, and breakfast variety could elevate the experience significantly. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with some comforts, it might be worth considering, but just be aware of these quirks.

Very neat and clean. You will not regret staying here. A small thing - Shampoo and body wash wasn't there in our room & possibly there is not a daily room service (as we did not get one) - cross check this if you plan longer stays.
