Lovely stay. Had a premier room which was large. Staff helpful and friendly. Special mention to the young man with the pony tail who was there at breakfast. Met him before and he is very hospitable and professional. Breakfast was very good and piping hot we paid 9.95 each for it. Woken up early by the noise of the bin men and the work men but this is not the fault of the establishment. Parking only a minute away through the market and cost us 16.50 to park overnight. We arrived at 12.20 to leave our bags but our room was ready which was a nice bonus. I like the relaxed easy going atmosphere in this place and the staff are very welcoming. We would be happy to stay again.

Overall good. Well priced and extremely convenient . The room #6 is spacious . Nice clean linens and comfortable beds . To consider : the hallway, stair and room carpets need a good clean .

This was a lovely “oldy” hotel and as such has a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In fact as there is no elevator, our bags were carried up and down the stairs for us which was wonderful. We had a very pleasant stay indeed. Thank you

Super large room, light, bright and comfortable. The music noise ceased at midnight (weekend stay) and then it was quiet and easy to sleep. So convenient for the shopping areas and city walls, loads of cafes, bars and restaurants within 1 minute stroll. Would actually stay here again without doubt, just missing inclusive breakfast.

It was a great stay! The room was really big. Close to everything you want to do in Chester. I never really saw anybody, either staff or other guests, which was just fine with me.

We were refused bottled water for our room even though it clearly says ‘free bottled water’ on the booking, when we asked the staff for some water they said “we don’t give free water out”. There was roadworks right outside our room at 06:30 this morning. Room is very very basic and we had the so called premium room.

Wonderfull room at front of the house. A room with a view! Second floor without elavator is a bit uncomfortable with much lugage. Third bed was awefull > broken back.... Breakfast was WONDERFULL! Location Superb!
