The hotel could be good but was tired. The rooms were unbearably hot. Fortunately we asked to be moved and had a room with air con. The breakfast was very disappointing and the dinner was just ok.

The hotel was lovely. We stayed in the cheapest option but still had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the view of the canal was great. The only issue with the room itself was the lack of a toilet brush. We tried the pool in the spa area and it was a great way to relax. However, there was a big problem with the lockers for the pool. Me and my girlfriend had to share a key for the same locker. I locked all my things and then passed the key to my girlfriend for here to get ready. However, in the female changing rooms lockers require a key and a pound coin. The pound coin didn’t work and it doesn’t make any sense why only the women’s lockers needed a pound. Furthermore, what do you do with the key after locking the locker? In the end my partner had to leave her locker unlocked with valuables inside. I would recommend using a pin coded locker, or a locker with a key that it attached to a wrist band. Finally, the breakfast and service was excellent and the staff at reception were warm and friendly.

Paid a bit more for a deluxe double room, however it didn’t look like the photos on the website, guess they hadn’t got round to updating this one yet as the bathroom was dated and tired. The pillows were really hard but other than that we had a good stay. The pool is good for swimming lengths and the hotel is in a handy location for walking into town.

Hotel is nice but a little old fashioned. Shower curtains in room are a little discoloured and need replacing, room was a good size but could improve by swapping the plastic cups in room for reusable options. Same for pool area... Breakfast gets crowded and a bit slow to be seated. Had bad customer service and mix up with spa which was disappointing, not what I had expected

The staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fairly standard, but only small oranges for fresh fruit. Also no plain yoghurt. The twin beds were pushed together with no way to move them apart because of the large pipes, attractive as part of the original mill building, but prevented movement of beds. Apart from that all was good, great location for walking into the walled old town

From first arrival when we were met by a very friendly receptionist all the staff were excellent. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good and well organised. Would definitely recommend and book a return visit.

The hotel is good and a great location. But! The room was far too hot and if the window was open there was lots of road noise. Very uncomfortable. So glad to get home to get some sleep. Would not stay again

City centre hotel, with pool and gym facilities. 5/10 min walk into the centre. Paid Parking on site. Although a little tired, the hotel was clean, and the Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was top notch.

Good location for city
Good location, breakfast was good and friendly staff. Bath was lovely in the room. Bed was hard and pillows, would be nice to have softer pillows. Balcony view of canal was disappointing, couldnt see the canal on the fifth floor.
