The staff was efficient. The room was nice and I have no complaints about the condition or offerings in the room. The AC worked good, the bed was comfortable, everything clean, the shower did not get water all over the floor, which is good. Overall, I would stay here again
Saying that, these are three things you need to know before staying here: 1) The internet is slow. While other hotels offer fast 50mbps internet this hotel offers unreliable 1mbps internet. Big negative in the modern age. Spend the extra $10 a month to upgrade the internet speed
2) The location is really not that good. It is about a 15-20 walk to the real good restaurants and commercial area of the city. It is about an 8 minute walk to the night bazaar, but the bazaar is just a bunch of coffee mugs and cheap t-shirts with funny words on it. No need to stay close to that IMO.
3) The biggest issue and why I changed hotels is that there is a chance you will be in an outside hotel room (I was). This is great for some people who want to feel like they have their own place and are not in a hotel, but for me this made me feel insecure. A previous guest could copy the key which is just a standard metal key and come into my room when I am not there. There is no cameras or secure entry or people they need to pass by, so it would really be low-risk for them. As a result, everytime I left my hotel room I felt like my belongings were at risk. There is a safe box in the room though for your most valuable things
