Last minute notification unacceptable

I spent my day trying to find another hotel because seven minutes before check-in. I was contacted advising that their elevator was broken and the only rooms they had available were on the fourth floor. I asked when did you find this out? They claimed 20 minutes ago I have a 84-year-old mother that was traveling with me and you expect me to climb four flights of stairs with luggage and a elderly woman You contacted me seven minutes before check-in and we were parking in the parking lot

I saw someone with a dog. At this place in time it would wise to replace the carpet in rooms with laminate flooring. This is a more ideal solution to maintain cleanliness and comfortably.
