Hotel is a super great location. There's so much you can walk to within a minute or two. However, the hotel rooms are incredibly small for a family of 4 and pretty run down (cracking walls, scuffs all over walls, room garbage cans with gross stuff stuck to them, the walls and door are so thin that you can literally hear everyone talking in the halls and in the rooms around you, and just kind of a yucky feel to the hotel). The room we stayed in had zero air circulation and it was 72 degrees in there, without having the heat on, with stagnant air. It was in the 20s outside, but at night we had to turn on the air conditioning. Also, you literally can barely get out of bed (if you sleep on the outside of either bed) due to the small space. Also, disappointed that I called morning of to ask if our room had a mini fridge and the woman at the front desk told me yes. Once we arrived, with a cooler full of stuff, we found out that our room actually did not have a fridge. Also, it states on their website that valet parking is $45 a night with no in/out privileges. We stayed for two nights and the valet charged us $144. The valet guys seemed a bit shady and clearly are. I will be calling the hotel tomorrow about the overcharging that was done. Is this hotel a great location? Yes! Will I stay there again? Nope! There are much cleaner and better taken care of hotels within the same price range that also are in close proximity to Michigan Ave.
