It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :)
Sofia and Paul very good hosts. Very clean spacious room, great supply for breakfast in your room, great location 5 minute walk to beach and city centre

Owners were nice. Short stroll to pier and high street. Liked the in room continental style breakfast. Shower was good. Only complaint was no heating, so supplied with a blanket, and trivial matters like they never replaced the used glasses and tea spoons. , Would have liked a change of towels, as only supplied with one bath towel each. Normally have a smaller towel aswell. As we were there only for two days we never bothered asking.

Well maintained. Recently refurbished. Clean. Ample ingredients provided for self catering breakfast in our room. Car parking at front. Good location. En-suite small for a large person.
Nice room, comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave oven in room. Bread, milk, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit etc supplied (this is a guest house rather than a hotel, so no restaurant for full English breakfast but this is made clear beforehand). On-site parking. Only about 2 minutes from beach and shops/restaurants, so close to everything but on a quiet road. Beaches west of the pier seemed very busy (perhaps due to the air show) but this is located to the east of the pier where the beaches were relatively quiet. Suited us well (family of 3). Sofia and Paul very helpful and great hosts. Would re-visit in the future.
The owner gave me a lift to the local theatre so I could get to the concert as soon as possible. I appreciated that. Also, the breakfast is in the room when you arrive, and you make it yourself- this helped me because I had to leave early, and it gave me flexibility.
Clean rooms. Welcoming hosts. Will definitely stay again!

Braunton House. Clacton
Does exactly "what is says on the tin". Very friendly welcome and good explanation about room. Very helpful with regard to town location. Bed was very comfy. Crisp clean linen. Continental breakfast in room was more than adequate. Cleanliness was very good. Some slight noise transfer but not to disturb a night's sleep. Would stay there again if going to the area. Good value for money.
Very nice guest house, can’t complain really. If I had to be picky I’d say the bed was on the hard side and parking was a little awkward.
We didn’t feel particularly safe walking around at night.
Very good check in, room spacious and comfortable. Nice touch having breakfast in your room as meant we could get an early start and still have breakfast before we left.

A room with it all
Very impressed with Brunton House. Spacious, clean and homely room with all breakfast facilities/food supplied within room, inc breakfast table. Handy parking and situated near to seafront and pubs/restaurant area of town. Will certainly return when next in area on business.
This B and B had every thing we needed for our 3 day stay. On site parking. On suite, fridge, microwave. kettle. toaster and breakfast bar all in our own little room. Room was clean and tidy. clean towels each day, and we had a tv with all the cable channels and free wifi.
Breakfast was continental which suited us just fine :)
Was within walking distance to all the shops. bars. restaurants.cinema.bingo and of course the beach .and only half an hour drive to the zoo .
would definately use this B and B again .
stayed with my fisncee over a weekend. hotel is close to the pier and beach. room is cozy and clean.breakfast was ready for us in the room. Will definitelly recomend! great value
Very convenient easy place to stay large room very comfy beds good decor lovely breakfast items in the room so can be taken at leisure no communal area but this was not a problem
Lovely clean and well equipped b&b. Warm welcome.
Breakfast was in our room - microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. Cereal, bread, milk, yogurts, juice and tea/coffee etc all provided in our room.
5-8 minute walk from the main pier.
Would recommend staying here.

Comfortable Economy
We paid for economy so did not expect luxury. We did have a warm welcome but B&B is nearer the description than hotel. We could not fault what we received for the price. It was clean and comfortable but a bit cramped. For those wanting to be out all day it should be excellent but the weather was too cold. Again that was our timing. We found the tourist attractions closed! The continental breakfast was in the room and was very good.
Very good service and facilities. Excellent location being only a short walk to the town centre and seafront. The room was quiet, large and comfortable and the breakfast facilities were useful. Would definitely recommend.
