Sandcastles #216 is a spacious, renovated 2br/2ba 1286 sf condo in a beachfront resort complex near downtown Cocoa Beach. **Enjoy the current discounted nightly rates through February 2025 as some intermittent construction noise from a nearby building project may create noise in our pool area.** This updated unit sleeps up to 6 persons and is family-friendly. The two separate private balconies make it feel more like a house than a condo: The sunny south-facing balcony offers warmth year~round and a side view of the ocean (see photos), while the west-facing balcony invites you to enjoy spectacular sunsets every evening. Sandcastles is right on the beach w/direct beach access, heated pool and spa, free parking, and a tennis / pickle ball court. Leave your worries behind with hassle-free, contactless check-in, free cable, fast, reliable wi~fi , and all the amenities of home...but BETTER!
The space:
The living room features leather recliners, queen sofa bed and a Samsung 43" TV with cable, DVD library and player. The remodeled kitchen is very well outfitted with all the utensils and cookware you will need to prepare meals and entertain. The dining table offers seating for 6 and there is also a counter~height bar with additional stool seating for 2. The carpeted main bedroom is furnished with a luxurious Sealy king~size bed (ALL mattresses new 01/24), a 45" Samsung HDTV w/cable, walk-in closet, and bath featuring a remodeled tile step-in shower with grab safety bars.
Bedroom 2 offers a queen-size bed and a twin bed, a tv with cable and DVD player, and hall bath with tub. You will find toilet paper, and all paper goods provided, plus extra pillows, towels, blankets, an iron and ironing board, hairdryers, a Pak n Play crib, a high chair, bath seat, beach chairs, toys & coolers, boogie boards, beach towels, as well as a collection of games and puzzles for some indoor fun. The in-unit laundry room features a washer, dryer and detergents.
Guest access:
Sandcastles is one of Cocoa Beach's premier oceanfront properties and one of only 2 condo complexes within walking distance to quaint Downtown Cocoa Beach that permit nightly and weekly rentals. When you arrive, you will be staying in the building to your right (South building). Lot parking is FREE for one or more guest cars at Sandcastles. There is an elevator at the West corner of the building closest to the parking lot. Enjoy contactless check-in. Your Host will provide you with a custom code to access the front door's keypad entry. There are 2 common area keys inside the unit to access the pool deck, beach gate and tennis court. There are also shopping carts inside the 1st floor stairwells, which can prove helpful when arriving/departing and for returning from grocery shopping.
This complex offers private beach access just steps from its sparkling heated pool and spa, 2 outdoor showers, plentiful free parking, an elevator and garbage shoot convenient to the unit, use of a bbq grill, tennis court, and an on-site manager.
Watch SpaceX and NASA rocket launches from our beach! Sandcastles is located close to family and fine dining, the Cocoa Beach Pier, Publix, Ron Jons Surf Shop, nightlife, mini-golf, go-carts, bike and river watercraft rentals, and the fitness center across the street offers discounted day passes to Sandcastles guests (inquire at Cocoa Beach Health & Fitness' front desk). Sandcastles is less than a mile from quaint downtown Cocoa Beach, and Port Canaveral is about a 15 minute drive north. Kennedy Space Center is about 25 minutes, the Orlando and Melbourne airports are less than an hour away, and Disneyland, Universal Studios and the theme parks are about a 1.5 hour drive. Cocoa Beach is so convenient to so much!
Other items to note:
**Need to make a reservation for a check-in TODAY??? Please submit an Inquiry to your Host BEFORE DOING "INSTANT BOOK" if you are requesting a same-night check-in, as VRBO does not make that same-day booking option available on its calendar. However, your Host has the ability to send you an adjusted quote reflecting a same-night check-in for a last minute arrival. Easy~Peasy!
There is a default 4-night minimum on most stays throughout the year. (We will accept 1-3 night bookings to fill in shorter open windows on calendar between larger bookings. Our calendar is always updated to reflect shorter stay availability.)
*January-mid-March* we will honor stays up to 28 nights. Stays longer than 14 nights will be entitled to a discount. Please inquire with your host for a special quote before booking over 14 nights.
Our heated pool and jacuzzi hours are 9:30am-10:00pm throughout the year. (Note: Any necessary closure of the pool and/or jacuzzi due to cold winter temperatures or unforeseen mechanical failure or contamination is beyond the control of the Host, and would not entitle Guest to a cancellation or refund.)
Pets are not permitted at Unit #216.

Check-in: 4:00 pm; Check-out: 11:00 am. These hours are fairly firm, as Unit #216 is booked solid most of the year, meaning someone will likely be checking out the morning of your arrival, so housekeeping will arrive by 11:30 and will need adequate time to properly clean and sanitize the unit between guests. If you would like early check-in, ask your Host in advance, and she will notify you a few days out of your arrival date if early check-in is possible, or if you may collect common area key early, before check-in time, in order to use the pool or access beach gate.
Booking Guest must be at least 25 years of age and one of the overnight Guests staying at the property during the reservation period. If the Booking Guest should depart early, leaving behind others in his/her party to check-out last, it is the Booking Guest's responsibility to see to it that those checking out last read the House Rules/Rental Agreement posted in the house and agree to adhere to the short check-out items listed, and the check-out time of 11:00 am. Housekeeping generally arrives by 11:15. If housekeeping arrives and guests have made no effort to depart with their belongings by 11:45, a late check-out fee of $60 will be incurred by the Booking Guest to cover an additional cleaner to help ready the unit before next guests arrive that afternoon.
Release and Liability: The Owner/Owner Representative will not be liable for any damage, illness or injury to Guest, or any other person or pet in their party, or loss or damage of any property, occurring on or in the premises, or in common areas.
Cancellation policy:
*100% refund if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in
*50% refund (minus the service fee) if you cancel atleast 14 days before check-in
*No refund if you cancel less than 14 days before check-in
Keep in mind that--except in the case of a local evacuation, an approaching hurricane, or an emergency order declaration--Guest will not be entitled to a refund should they choose to cancel or shorten their stay during the stay or within 14 days of the arrival date. The cancellation of an event at the Guest's destination (ballgames, rocket launches) or flight cancellation does not entitle Guest to a refund should they choose to cancel their reservation with us within 14 days of the arrival date. **YOUR HOST RECOMMENDS THAT ALL GUESTS PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER THEIR TRIP.**
