Had problems sleeping. Room far too hot despite no heating on. After first night asked for lighter bedding and more comfortable pillows. These were provided willingly and improved matters but did not solve the problem.
Beautiful building. Only a 10 minute walk from The Hall and 15 to the station. Lovely bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed. Appreciated the cafeteria in the room!
Breakfast excellent.
Highly recommend and will come again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Lovely building but seemed a little tired inside. Garden furniture had also seen better days.
Very comfortable, friendly and welcoming. The building is an old nunnery and is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate it. Staff can’t do enough to help you feel welcome and the food is devine!
This is my second visit to the Alverton and it is as lovely as ever Amy, who was here on my last visit, is incredibly kind and helpful on the reception. The rooms are spacious and quiet.

It’s a beautiful hotel and space. But they have none of the amenities that you would expect in a hotel like this. No children’s play corner, no gym, no sauna. These are things that we look for when we visit Truro. With the amount of space they have it would be easy to add one or two family amenities. Also the shower gel and shampoo bottles we almost empty and didn’t last for the two day trip
Property had history!Building once a convent among other things.
Amazing architecture.Full of character.
Staff extremely helpful, efficient and friendly.
Included breakfasts were tasty, plentiful and well presented.
Spent 3 very relaxing and enjoyable days there.
Would highly recommend the experience to anyone looking for a unique hotel experience.
Totally worth it!!
Two things I look for in a hotel - cleanliness and order and attention to detail - this property has it in abundance - it is clear that management and staff are well trained and very friendly as well - would definitely return for a stay in the future.
Lovely and comfortable room. Breakfast a bit disappointing. Not very large portions for cooked breakfast. Scrambled egg overdone, possibly microwaved. Staff charming throughout.
Nice hotel in a good location.
Reasonable value for money.
Quaint process required to book a slot for breakfast.Dispite this table service took 1hr on average, with no apparent order.
Check in was quick and easy. The room was comfortable and very clean. We found the staff to be amazing and really friendly. Sadly the food let the 2 night stay down a bit. We thought it was a bit overpriced and not great, particularly the breakfast on the first morning. However, next day the breakfast was much improved. Being served 1/2 a field mushroom with breakfast did seem a tad tight!
