Do NOT recommend staying here!
There was a pile of animal feces that workers of the hotel walked past and did not pick up multiple times. The lights in the bathroom were not working. The AC unit did not work. It ran the entire time we were there yet the room never got below 77 degrees. There were roaches in the room but we did not see them until we were leaving. If you reserve a room, be prepared to drop another $100 for a deposit even though you have already paid. The photos are very misleading. Poorly run and poorly maintained hotel. I do NOT recommend staying here.

first of all, photos on Hotels.com site must have taken the first day of the hotel. It is a very run-down building. Kind of a hostel rather than a hotel. Since it is next to the beach, sand is everywhere. Please add some carpets to catch sand. Also a wash off hose would be nice down stairs. Room was good. One bed was squeaking when you sit down. mattress and linen was comfy. furniture and the cabinets need upgrades. NO elevator! Overall, stay was good.

In the past my wife, son and my self have stayed at Hotel De Ville. This is the worse. There was no toilet paper, the land line phone was broke. Cord would fall off the receiver. Most of all this room, 120 was not swept. You could feel the sand on your feet. I did take pictures on these infractions. I do plan to take these infractions to different agencies. Would not recommend this location.

I would stay here again
It was a good stay. Room was clean and smelled fresh. The only issue i had was due to knee pain, having to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor carrying my luggage. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Staff was nice but... bathroom light was out phone did jot work. The ocean view was a resteraunt which i paid 3x nore then a normal room . No outlets by the bed of course as i knew no breakfeast oe pool but even the vending maxhines were not working. Basic cable. Half the chanels were audio only. I exspected much nore for almost 200 a night. Basic room may be worth it but nor ocean view

Not a five star, but still good
Ao this hotel has pros and cons. It is on North Beach (and South Beach is nicer), but it is literally steps from the beach, so that is nice. There is no where to wash sand off, so you will have it all on your floors. Maybe the hotel could put little brooms in the closets. It is cute, but the pic has a ferris wheel - that is not there just so everyone knows. Workers are nice. They gave me a coupon for the restaurant behind them (food is good there, but service was horrible).

Only reason for 3 stars is due to cleanliness and surprise deposit. Sand was in every crevice of the bed frame. Also, room smelled of smoke but wasn’t too bad due to paint attempting to cover it up. I wasn’t aware of the $100 room deposit as it is not listed on hotels.com, only a $100 per deposit is listed. Aside from these inconveniences, it was an okay stay.
