Welcome to the Blue Pelican 🐦 in the well-known Pirates Bay community in Port Aransas!

This 3 bedroom,3 bath ground-level townhome sleeps 10 comfortably and is located steps from the pool and playscape. Whether you come into Port A by bridge or by ferry, this location is hard to beat. Pirates Bay is located right off Highway 361, so you are close to the beach yet tucked away perfectly to enjoy the community amenities in including 2 beautiful slope entry pools, a playscape, community BBQ area, and an experience that is unforgettable! You will be just 2-3 blocks from restaurants, convenience stores, shopping boutiques, beach rentals, bars and most everything Port A has to offer.

There are two assigned parking spots for the Blue Pelican directly in front of the gate, which opens to your own private breezeway and covered patio equipped with a quaint dining space and outdoor shower to rinse the sand off before entering the townhome. Come through the front door and walk into the open concept living area with stained concrete floors, vaulted wood ceilings, and fun coastal decor. Relax in front of the 65" TV on two large sofas with 4 power recliners after a day of beaching or fishing!

The kitchen, which features granite countertops and stainless appliances, is well stocked with pots, pans, serving, prepping, and eating supplies and utensils! We've tried to think of everything you'll need to feed your family while at the Blue Pelican! The kitchen is open to the living and dining space, including a table, 4 chairs and a bench, and 4 barstools at the kitchen counter island.

Ready to call it a night? All bedrooms include a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, private closet, and all new bedding and pillows.

The king master suite is at one end of the townhome and includes a private bathroom with a large walk in shower and 2 granite sinks/vanities, a huge walk in closet, and a private patio door to the breezeway.

The queen bedroom suite is at the other end of the townhome and includes a private bath with an elegant pedestal sink and tub/shower combo.

The 3rd bedroom features a queen bed and can use the hall bath.

The 3rd bathroom off the hallway includes a tiled shower and granite sink/vanity.

There is also a charming sleeping alcove with twin bunks that include individual lights and USB charging stations. 2 twin memory foam rollaway beds are stored in the master closet.

The Blue Pelican has everything including a washer and dryer in the unit, free wireless high-speed internet, and Spectrum cable. In addition to the 2 assigned parking spaces, Pirates Bay has overflow parking in the complex on a first come, first served basis and can be limited during peak times. Boat parking is not allowed.

Since this home is located on the bay side of Highway 361, it is not possible to access the rest of the island with a golf cart. There are no legal golf cart crossings to get across Highway 361. For your own safety, we do not recommend attempting to rent a golf cart with this property.

Getting Around:
This property is not zoned for golf carts. ❌🛺
Due to the bay-side location, golf cart access to the rest of the island is not possible. No legal crossings on Highway 361 for your safety.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware that because Port Aransas is a unique coastal community, cable and Wi-Fi connectivity might be unpredictable. Thank you for acknowledging that we have no control over these services. Service interruptions will not qualify for any discounts or reimbursements.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay.

ACCESS CODE: We have a lock at our property so you won't need to go to an office and pick up keys. This code will be a part of the check-in instructions sent 30 minutes prior to your arrival. When you get in the area you can go straight to the property, unpack, relax and enjoy!

The house comes stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware, linens and bath towels. There is a coffee maker. Hand/bath soap, shampoo & conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge are among the basic items that are conveniently available on the property until you are ready to go shopping.

SELF CATERING: All of our properties are self-catering. No maid or towel service is provided during your stay.

GUEST VERIFICATION:
To ensure a smooth and secure stay, we require the primary guest listed on the reservation to complete a simple screening process within 48 hours of booking confirmation. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until these steps are completed.

Once verified, and prior to check-in, guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that includes:
- Agreeing to our rental terms and conditions.
- Providing a valid government-issued ID and a matching credit card before check-in.
- Paying a non-refundable $50 damage waiver. The damage waiver provides coverage for accidental damage during your stay, as long as it is reported prior to your check-out.

The damage waiver covers accidental damage that may occur during your stay. To ensure coverage, all damage must be reported promptly while you’re still at the property. We understand there is normal wear and tear at houses but should anything accidentally break or get stained during your stay please just let us know. Thank you!

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING: Beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee and coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, suntan lotion/sun block and beach gear.

Never got to stay at location because of hurricane Beryl
We were issued a mandatory evacuation on our trip and were not able to stay at all. Management communication leading up to evacuation was non existent until I reached out and then it was unsatisfactory at best. They told me a mandatory evacuation warranted a refund and then they ghosted me when I tried to follow up. Do better!!

Enjoyed our spur of the moment trip to Port A. The condo was clean and slept all of us very comfortably! We enjoyed the pools and had fun playing the games provided in the condo. This is our 3rd time at Pirates Bay and have not been disappointed.

Great birthday weekend
This community and property were awesome. We really enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy. The townhome was clean. My only complaint was the water pressure was low in the sinks and the outlets didn’t work in the master bathroom. None of this ruined our stay, but it was an inconvenience. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this community and townhome.

We stayed at this property 7 years ago, which made me rebook here this time around. This home was exceptional!! Upon arrival I could not get VRBO to answer, kept telling me it would be a long wait, I then contacted Sand Key Realty, the property management team, and they were excellent. Could not have been more helpful!! The location and grounds were great!! Will stay here again! Kids loved the pools and playground area.

Great place in Port A
Perfect for families with children. Comfy beds and couches. Loved the two ensuite bathrooms for separate couples. The place was clean and spacious enough for 6 adults and 3 kids. The pool area and playground was very nice. My only complaints are that the fridge did not gel cold and chill our food/drinks until 24 hours after check in. I'm assuming it was turned off or turned down until right before our check in. Most of our food had to be moved to the freezer and coolers and was inconvenient.

My husband has been to Port Aransas several times to deep sea fish. This was my first trip. My daughter and her family came with us. This rental house was everything we wanted it to be. It was "as advertised " I would highly recommend it.
