My Favorite Hotel in the Area
I wanted to add an update to this review. I have been staying at this hotel for the past almost 3 years, as my daughter is a student at a nearby university. I have had the opportunity to try all of the recommended hotels in the area and this hotel is far and away the best hotel in the area. The hotel is consistently spotless, the mattresses are so comfortable, and the room is always fully stocked with everything that I need. In addition, I always feel so welcomed to when I arrive at the front desk. They accommodate my special requests, if I have them, and are always so gracious! Honestly, if you’re looking for a great hotel near the local campus, this is the place to stay. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Great stay this past week at DoubleTree Hilton Dallas (near SMU campus). Friendly and helpful staff, nicely updated room with a comfortable mattress (not often found at hotels these days!) and beautiful view. Fitness center was well outfitted with cardio, free weights and cables. Water and towels provided in Fitness Center. Room was cleaned upon request and during the time frame I specified. Staff was very accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

I generally love Double Tree so I am happy except that something was going on with the windows. Loud Popping ever now and then, disturbing. No sign of birds or people throwing rocks. Strange!

I really like this hotel it's convenient to where I need to be and go most of the time I get a nice quiet room but this last time I had a single queen room the room itself was great it was just too close to the elevator so I can hear the elevator wires clinging through the night and early morning. I will continue to go to DoubleTree as long as I request not to be placed right next to the elevators and also as long as parking is free
