The Camelia Cabin was small for three people but we managed okay. Both John and Annemarie were very hospitable. Although they are relatively newish running the park, they did a great job looking after their guests.
The cabin was rundown and needed a little attention. There were no bathroom facilities in our cabin which wasn’t clear when we booked. Our dtay was overpriced for the condition of the cabin we were in.
When booking through wotif was not informed that the cabin had no ensuit . The showers were very poor with poor water pressure. We had no power when we arrived but was turned on shortly after arrival but came back last the next day to find that the power had been turned back off so the cabin was freezing cold.
Cabin was a bit old and run down compared to other Parks especially ones that are Members of the Discovery & Big 4 group.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful but generally Cabin needed an upgrade and a good cleaning.
Obviously apart from the location, after all the years of staying at different locations, this was the first time I didn't have to clean something 🙂 The pine cottage was totally spotless,an absolute pleasure.Credit to all involved.
The cabin booked was cold and damp. The bedding was locked up and we had to request that it be made available. There was not hot water running to the cabin at all. We left a day early.
I really liked the calm feeling of being under so many large and beautiful trees and being within easy walking distance of the lake.
Staff were very cheerful and helpful, very welcoming.
Shopping facilities within Daylesford were fine.
The only negative was lack of internet access which may have been due to its position or to a misconfiguration by their internet service provider.
The Cabin was small, dark and dingy. Some lights didn't work. The inside of the oven had still had used oil (smelly) in the drip tray. Cabin fittings were ancient and the only sofa, which I think was a pull out double bed was terribly uncomfortable. The property was rated as a family cabin but had only one dinner knife (which had old food stuck to it ) & two large coffee cups. One of the worst cabins we have ever stayed in and was charged top dollar for the pleasure. We had two nights booked but got a credit for the second night ( thank you to the nice lady at the front desk) but would have left after one night regardless.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
NOT DOG FRIENDLY - Decided to stay there because it is advertised as pet friendly on WotIf. I asked for confirmation three months before the booking and they never got back to me. WotIf confirmed that it was pet friendly as they have it in that category. But when I did the virtual check in the holiday park found the cabin didn’t allow pets - no refund even though it was misleading.
