Because my organization utilizes this facility as the host hotel for our annual conference, I have had the misfortune of staying onsite multiple times over the past several years, each time hoping and praying for a better experience.
Our daily meetings occur onsite, making this an ideal location to reside when in town. However, even though the hotel has again changed ownership, the only noticeable change is the quality of the interior elevators. They now accommodate eight (8) guests, rather than the previous five (5) and move significantly quicker than before. We were pleased none of the guests were stuck on them this year. The garage elevators still require attention as they did break down while I was departing yesterday. Fortunately, we were able to quickly get out as another guest was beginning to panic.
Regarding the rooms, bed bugs have been an issue in this hotel causing us to come prepared with our own sheets, bed bug sprays, as well as other disinfectants. This year, I also encountered an unsanitary restroom, including a dirty shower curtain, tub, visible feces on the toilet paper holder, and other visible brown marks on the walls. Each of these items were brought to managements attention, and while they attempted to resolve the issues, because I was not in the room when housekeeping came, they were again short-sighted and left the feces on the toilet paper holder. Upon checkout, I showed the pictures to management, including my cleanup of the holder.
