Our room was lovely, it opened onto the pool area which was absolutely perfect. It's a bit far to the seafront and restaurants; approx 15/20 mins walk down lanes. The only near restaurant is in the hotel itself and nobody seemed to eat there so we didn't. We did grab a taxi one evening to go into the town to eat but otherwise we walked. The hotel offer a shuttle bus a couple of times a day to the beach or the Hardys, the departmental store (sort of). Breakfast is good. There's a safe in the room and a nice shower although this needed a thorough clean as it was a bit grubby.
You need to ask for pool towels. They're not offered unless you ask.
My one grumble is. A couple of nights before we were leaving for the airport we asked the reception to order a taxi for us as we needed to leave at 6:00am. They persuaded us to use the hotel bus. As it wasn't too much more than a taxi and was convenient we agreed. The night before, checked that it was ok and he had noted the shuttle to the airport in the morning, a different receptionist (man) said oh no, no driver in the morning. We asked him to order a taxi, he said he'd get his friend. We said no, we wanted a taxi. In the morning...yes, you've guessed - his friend! It was too late to do anything and we were both suffering from food poisoning and felt unwell so took the transport.
Tip - book your own taxi. Don't be persuaded to use the hotel shuttle; you won't get it!
