My friend and I were lost after a concert. I tried contacting the Grand Hyatt with no response for directions 3 times. Very scary. I even tried the # the hotel sent me for a 24 hour guaranteed response and got nothing. My friend and I are both seniors and felt that no response at all was unacceptable. We finally called an Uber for help. Also, if you watch the Grand Hyatt world promotions set on your room TV, there was no comparisons. It shows ceramic coffee cups, ours were styrofoam. It shows beautiful meals, but when we ordered on the dinner menu right as the restaurant opened, they were already out of both our selections. How do you run out of something when you’ve just opened? This was not a luxury hotel. Nothing special about it. Even bottled water cost $2.00. Even Motel 6 offer free bottled water. I’ll never stay at a Hyatt again.

Check-in, valet and housekeeping were exceptional. Bar and restaurant need more help to serve customers. Some guests were leaving because they had not been served in the restaurant. Lobby bar closed at 10pm, restaurant/bar closed at 11pm. For a Saturday after a concert, there were many hotel guests looking for food and drink after arriving back at the hotel. We left and walked a few blocks to find food/drink. I think the lobby bar should be open until at least midnight for guests on weekends with small bites.

The hotel itself was nice. However, the room seemed to be very outdated. The windows in particular were old and thin. Thus, in the middle of downtown Denver, we heard noise throughout the night and it was difficult to sleep. There were sirens, people, shouting, etc. which made the stay difficult for our family. I should note, we actually stayed in a suite so I would have expected to have a much better experience with the amount of money that we spent and the brand name, Hyatt.

What this hotel doesn’t tell you in advance!

Given I booked through a THIRD PARTY, I was not allowed to use phone keys, nor was I allowed to earn points for the stay I paid for!!! Oh, and it cost almost $70/night to have my vehicle parked at the hotel. $5 for a candy bar, $5 for a bottle of water, $30 for late checkout. I felt nickel and dimed for everything when I wanted was an enjoyable experience with my son.
