Most holiday inn expresses are about the same but this one needs some major updates. Biggest problem is that there is no temperature control in each room. It's controlled as one unit through the entire building. Was very cold at night when it gets to 40s. Can ask for heater but they didn't have enough for everyone and blankets are still pretty thin too. Walls in rooms peeling/falling apart. Smaller than typical bathrooms. Overall rooms need updating. Lobby/breakfast just typical of hotel chain. Walkable area, kind and helpful staff.

The lobby smelled horrible the entire stay. AC did not work, when I called the front desk they said they would leave a fan at the front desk. Front desk staff nonexistent, would not come out from the back office. Room was small and stuffy. Won't be back

You cannot control the heating nor the air conditioning in the room. It is centrally controlled so if you are hot or you are cold, you cannot adjust the temperature.

I have stay in several holiday inn express ,I feel like this particular one in Denver downtown is outdated ,they don’t provide free parking only valet witch cost $50 dollar a night ,the nearest parking is a block away and feels unsafe to walk at night ,I want to mention personal is very helpful and nice

A little disappointed that although our room was ready when we arrived at noon they made us wait until 3pm or pay a $50 early check in fee. However, they did secure our luggage for us so we didn’t have to haul it around Denver while we waited to check in.
