"There's probably a reason why the water here is a slightly different shade of gorgeous than just about anywhere else along the Florida Panhandle. But we would rather take it in than figure it out. Still known as "the Luckiest Fishing Village", destin has become much more than that, offering great variety in terms of lodging, dining, and nightlife.

'BABS BEACH 2' , is a premium condo on the 14th floor. What a fabulous view!. Right on the beach with an unobstructed view! Tile floors throughout. You can have your morning coffee on the balcony and look at the sugar white sandy beach and the brilliant aquamarine water. See the sunrise, watch the dolphin play, see pelicans dive, and the manatee swim. Look left and look beach, beach!!
AND OF COURSE......WIFI!!
One master bedroom and twin bunk beds in the hall. Pull out couch with a queen bed for any extra persons. Master bedroom has a king bed and a private bath with a tub and shower. Second full bath with a walk in shower is off the hall. Master bedroom has a flat screen t. As well as a flat screen tv in the living area. Living area has sliding screen doors to the balcony. Sleep to the sounds of the ocean! The updated kitchen is fully equipped. Just bring the chef! The dining area seats 4 and the two bar stools add two more quests. The loving area is quite spacious with floor length mirrors to enhance the view! All the comforts of home!

Arrival is easy! No waiting to check in. Go right to the elevator to the 14th floor. There is an electronic lock with a numeric code. I will provide the code as your dates approaches. Don't worry about loosing your keys at the beach. For security no one has the code but you! The code changes with each guest and will change when you leave. So take everything when you leave. You won't be able to get back in!

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned condo, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. A Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

In all, I enjoyed my stay.

Only issue was the room wasn’t properly prepared upon my arrival. Other than that, loved the room. LOVED the view. The location is perfect. So many restaurants and shopping close by. Would love to stay there again.

Hurricane? Sorry no refund/credit, plenty of greed

If anyone is interested in what Barbara’s real priorities are ($$), this will answer it. We were the unfortunate couple to have her condo booked for four days, Wednesday through Saturday night. ‘Unfortunate’ because this particular Wednesday was the forecasted arrival of Hurricane Helene. Traveling from Minnesota, we asked Barbara for flexibility knowing the hurricane was headed for the Florida panhandle, She offered you can delay for up to 4 weeks (we didn’t have a week off for another 8 weeks so not much help). A couple days in advance, there’s a general idea of where landfall will be, but things change. The airlines were offering re-booking for anyone going into Destin, so we were hopeful ocean front condos might be accommodating as well. Monitoring the forecast, we opted to cancel our trip rather than take the risk. As it turned out, Destin was on the fringe and spared. We asked Barbara for a compromise, reimbursement for at least the first two nights when it was clearly an unknown. Barbara’s response…. “the weather was great, sorry”. Hurricane Helene was a financial (or worse) blow too many, but clearly a win for Barbara. Our recommendation? I would find someone else, there are plenty of options. Anyone can talk, actions reveal true colors. For Barbara, this is about your wallet, not your safety. While many in the south east are suffering from Helene, she’s counting her money….including the cleaning fees.

Exceptional Stay

The property, pools and gym are very well maintained. The condo was clean, tastefully decorated, beautiful views, and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the beach, pools, and balcony. My husband barbecued on the complex grills, which were very clean. Being our first time in Destin and Resorts at Pelican Beach it was very relaxing. Definitely stay again. Barbara responded to my questions before our stay and after hurricane Helene. Highly recommend!

Communication with Barb quick early on and then nothing on day of check in. Desk employees were easy. Condo was what we needed, a place to sleep and have awesome views. Some cleaning issues but nothing major. Outlets in living room and bedroom would spark if used so we only used kitchen for iron and chargers.

Most definitely going back

I really enjoy Miss Barbara’s condo. Everything was top-tier and if you needed her, her numbers was everywhere so you can find and call her. She answered no matter what. Dishwasher for spoons plates bowls everything you needed. It was there on top of that the washroom is directly outside your front door, which is a place walk outside on the balcony and the view was nothing but blue water. I will be going back

We loved this property! It’s just like the photos

We loved this property and will be back! The photos were just like the condo. It had everything we needed. The only thing we would change is better fitting & softer sheets. The bunk beds were perfect for our 17 year old daughter and friend. They both said the sheets were scratchy. But overall it’s an amazing place to stay, right in the beach!

Great Time

The condo was as described. The bed was a little hard and creaked with every move, but we got used to it after the 1st night. Beautiful views and great location. The condo was great! We are a family of 3 and felt this condo was the perfect amount of space for us. Barbara was quick to respond and allowed us to check in early. Great water pressure and hot water. Security on the property made sure everyone had their bands. Overall, we would definitely stay again!

Beautiful beach view

This condo is perfect for a beach getaway. It is clean, and has a beautiful view and the resort amenities are a huge bonus. Cafe has great food, tiki bar serves to the beach chairs(if you ren them), and 2 pools are awesome. Condo owner is responsive and super helpful. It's nice to work with a person and not a rental management company. 5 stars!!!

Great Condo!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and it was a perfect place for the 2 of us! No wristbands were needed during our stay, but we sid overhear that they were starting that the week after. The Condo has great views, better than the what the listing shows, we enjoyed the view very much. There is 2 twin bunk beds for people with children, and a king bed in the master. The walls were a bit thin- but we had no issue sleeping. We would stay here again on our next trip to destin
