Beware! This hotel does not look like the pictures. It is currently under construction, which is not noted during booking, nor was anything mentioned during check in. I was put in an exterior room where most of the construction is happening. The crew began around 8am outside and were extremely loud, they then moved to the room above us and began beating on the ceiling, sawing and what sounded like a jack hammer. Unacceptable. At about 1am a fight in the room below went on for about 40 minutes. The elevator was beat to hell. The shower/tub was not cleaned. This is more like a neighborhood hotel than a place for out of towners on business or leisure.

This property is under construction. The work was supposed to start at 11 am but started at 7 am. We were told that this was included on the website. The only thing on the website was that the pool and hot tub were not open

This hotel is nothing like the pictures. It’s under renovations which we were not told about. The elevators were filthy and carpet. The lobby , rooms and restaurant looks nothing like the pictures . There was no pool as advertised. . The attendant Anna was wonderful very helpful. She told us we could cancel if we wanted because of the mess. But we could not since we came from out of town to shop and then would have to go find another hotel. This wasn’t very convenient for us. We spoke to people from London Ontario who book on the phone and they were not told anything about it. Very disappointing! We hope next year will be better. A very upset group from Windsor Ontario. Renovations
I LOVE Troy Inn & Suites, first and foremost. This is my forth stay. However, the renovations are a problem. I had flight delays and didn't check in until 3am. I heard some type of clanging noise when I got to my room. Clearly no one was working at 3am and I assumed it was plumbing or something. The second night was quiet, but in the hallways I could feel cold air coming from outside due to the renovations. My room itself and staff was awesome as usual. The gym and breakfast was shut down due to renovations. They have gym passes for a place down the street but I just wasn't going out of my way to workout. Hopefully, the renovations will be done before my next trip. I thought the hotel was already nice but now it will be absolutely amazing! Can't wait!

They are currently under construction so the pool/hot tub weren’t working. They did give passes to lifetime fitness and that facility was awesome! There were construction workers outside our window on the 3rd floor at 8am

Expedia showed rooms that were renovated. This property has not been renovated and is under construction. This was not at all as advertised. Other than the girl working the front desk who I completely feel bad for bc she has to deal with people who thought they were getting a decent hotel. This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were musty and the elevator we did not even ant to get into which was full of construction dirt. I can NOT believe Expedia has pictures of renovations that have NOT taken place. On top of this the front desk has a sign that says.. under construction and loud from 8 am to 6. At a NO time were we aware of construction. False Advertising!! If we weren't from Canada and not able to find alternative place to stay we would never stay at this hotel. I cant believe I actually payed for this! Shame on you Expedia for not checking before you advertise this hotel.

There was construction being done which was noted at check-in (but I didn’t see anything about it while booking through Expedia). I spoke to the receptionist about why they didn’t book guest at one end of hotel and do construction at the other end or vice versa she wasn’t sure why. Some loud construction started around 8am. Also the pool and hot tub were out of service. They did have a contingency plan to go off site and use a pool at another location but it takes away from be experience for my kids. The bath tub did not drain well so you end up showering while standing in water. They have “house” brand ketchup. We actually thought it had gone sour but we were told but some Americans that’s how it tastes. We grabbed some extra packets of Heinz from a restaurant to bring in for the following days breakfast. The front desk people were very polite and friendly

Hidden Gem.
Girls trip. Booked before the hotel changed to Troy Inn. Was shocked to be missing amenities i booked the hotel for. Let me tell you the Management (Maher) went out of his way to make up for it. He litterly made our trip a success. This hotel may be in transition to another but we really enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Thanks again

Property is being renovated so there is a bit of construction mess which is easy to look past. Staff is very friendly and did all they could to provide a comfortable stay.
