Hunting camp
We enjoyed our stay. The snow and mud made the commute a little tricky as the dirt road to the house was sloppy!! Great place with a great view!

Picture's do absolutely no justice to this house and its surroundings, The owners were gracious and checked on us several times. Outside temps hit 17 and the inside was nice and cozy. Only thing I would change was having more time to spend there. Will be going back. The view of the Dolores river out the back is nothing short of amazing.

Great location!
We loved our brief stay in Dove Creek. The house was very comfortable and the host provided us with thorough information prior to arrival. This property has an incredible location literally just steps from the rim of the Dolores River Canyon, which was absolutely gorgeous — a must visit while you’re there! The dirt road getting in was a bit bumpy but our Toyota Camry sedan handled it fine. Tip: Ignore the “private property” sign on the last road you turn on.

Dove Creek
The property was incredible! The only thing that came as a surprise was that the final ten miles to the property is all gravel or dirt road. The dirt road was rutted because of traffic during recent rains. Since we were in the area for a special event and had to come and go many times from the property, if we had known about the roads we might have made other arrangements. That is not to take away from this incredible place to stay. I would return again.

Majestic Solitude
This is an astonishing property perched at a gorge overlooking the Dolores River. If you want a spellbinding stay offering quiet, offgrid, offline splendor - this is the place for you. Dove Creek nearby if a visit to town is needed. We enjoyed the home, the setting, and Marti as our host was lovely. Definitely going to be back here next year!

Breathtaking
A wonderful place to stay! Completely off grid but you would never know. Very secluded with amazing views. A great place to star gaze as well. I highly recommend using it as base when visiting the nearby national parks or simply enjoying the seclusion.

Off the beaten path
Make sure to arrive before nightfall daily as the farm roads can be difficult and full of deer. Marti and Billy very responsive and helpful. Good space, cozy, good kitchen for family meals. Incredible night sky. Hiking in the immediate are not really doable. You have to drive to all trails.

Wonderful
Such a unique property. The Canyon rim is just steps away from the house. Stargazeing at night is absolutely amazing. This home has it all four beds two baths. The kitchen, livingroom one bathroom and one bedroom are upstairs. Theres a huge balcony off of the kitchen, with a grill, plenty of outdoor seating and a spectacular view. It was such a great experience. Marti is one of the kindest most helpful people I have ever met. We came in late at night in the dark, and she came out to make sure we made it to the house just fine. This is a very special property, with fantastic owners!!

Excellent Canyon Rim Extended Stay
Our Family of 7 enjoyed an extended stay of 19 days at the Canyon Rim. The house is clean, inviting and comfortable. The pictures of the house do not depict the spaciousness of the home and bedrooms. As a large family, it was nice to retreat to the privacy of large rooms at the end of a busy day if needed. If you are interested in experiencing “off Grid” living, this home is for you! You wont even notice! There is no WiFi, however we were able to use our cell phones and watch the morning news. That’s if you plan on spending any time inside. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! The location of this house is incredible. It is tucked deep on top of the Mesa, our Son in law traveled in a rented sedan navigating the roads without any issues. This house was great for us, it is centrally located and is the perfect home base if you are planning on seeing the SouthWest sites. During our visit we went on day trips to Mesa Verde, Moab, Arches, Pagosa Springs, Hovenweep, Telluride, Durango, Cortez, Blanding. We saw mule deer, jack rabbits and other wildlife daily! There is so much to do and see right outside the front door! Did I mention the spectacular Canyon Rim view? It’s indescribable!!! Also if you haven’t had the chance to see the Milky Way, you can from the comfort of the deck at night. The star gazing is AMAZING there. In Dove Creek, there are a few small stores if you need or forgot something. We cooked at home a lot, however I recommend the County Line for dinner, and the Dinner Belle for breakfast, they have great pancakes! I could go on and on about how much our family enjoyed our stay! Marti and Billy are great hosts, they made sure we got in and settled. They answered any questions quickly and assured us they were available if needed. Thank you Marti and Billy for being so helpful and accommodating to our family. We have created such great memories at this house! It was a pleasure. Melissa & Jeff

Lovely, quiet location
The property was clean and comfortable. The views were gorgeous. And it was in a location that allowed us to get to a lot of national parks and monuments. One thing to note, it takes about 20 minutes to get from the main highway to the house. So you want to be sure to group your in-town errands together!

Wonderful location and wonderful accommodations
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice. The location was amazing. Beautiful view of the Deloris River Canyon virtually right out the back door of the house and a short walk down a path to the rim. The bed were very comfortable and clean. We had issue with the fridge but after taking to the owners was solved quickly. Very happy with this place. Would definitely reccomend staying here to anyone.
