Ideal hotel for concerts in the 3 arena, walk out the door and your there, same for luas, breakfast was excellent with a wide variety for everyone, rooms modern and spacious and clean, couldnt fault in any way

Hotel is right across from the Luas train, super easy to hop on and get downtown. I only am giving 3 stars because our sleep was terrible. Just arrived from a long overnight flight and they accidentally assigned our room to someone else. That person tried to get in at 1am including trying to remove the chain from the outside! The front desk did not discover the error until late the next day so had to give new keys not knowing if it was a random person trying to get in rooms. Was unsettling that they could not figure that out in the middle of the night….they felt badly of course but our one night of rest before moving on did not go well!

The queue for dinner was quiet long so a man too my name and number and told us get a drink at the bar and go to the res bar. (Navy suit & a blue glove on his hand with curly hair- only one with no name tag! We were next for a table for 2(my mum and I) we left it 45 mins and I walked in to see how things were looking. Several people had changed in the dining area and we were never called when I approached the man behind the counter and asked what happened he said he would see. I told him we needed to get food because we were going to the show shortly. I pointed out several new people were in. His response was terrible “I can see you need to be fed” implying I was being cross (hungry cross) I thought this was very poor! I picked the Gibson as a treat for my Mums birthday because of its proximity to the to the 3 arena and my Mum has circulation issues and not able to walk long distances! Needless to say I will not recommend the Gibson! I also would not be eating there again!
