Cozy Cabin in the Pines! Beautiful property with lots of space!

Cozy little house on several acres of flat ground just minutes from town. Easy access to this nicely maintained property located on a paved road. The property is well kept with beautiful views off the bluff at the back of the property. It is an attractive and relaxing setting with convenient access to the many attractions of the Durango area.

Distances to popular places:
5 minute drive to the edge of Durango.
16 minute drive to the Durango & Silverton Railroad.
18 minute drive to Durango regional airport.
39 minute drive to Purgatory Ski Resort.

The house is about 1300 sq. ft. and has two bedrooms with and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is connected to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a nice hide-a-bed in the living room that will allow space for up to 6 people.

There is a full kitchen and dining room and living room that is fully equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher. There are dishes and pots and pans and spices, etc.

Also a back deck and front porch that are great for just enjoying the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer!

Also, there is the possibility to play pickle ball on the property. It’s not set up all the time, but if you just let us know you are interested we can set it up for you!

The owners live on the property part-time in a separate apartment that is detached from the main house. They often stay off the property while guests are there but will be available if you should need anything.


Here are a couple things you should be aware of in advance:
We do not have any TV's in the house. Also, if you put in a request or message me on a Sunday it will be Monday morning before I can get back with you.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

Our stay

We had such an amazing/relaxing family vacation. The house was perfect and so cozy. We really enjoyed the wide variety of games and puzzles available to us. Pickle ball was also a big hit. Overall we were very pleased with the home and beautiful views. The owners are very helpful also. We can't wait to go back

Very cozy

The property and location was as advertised. The cabin had enough room for 6 adults and one child. There was a great wood burning stove that kept the house warm. The host was very responsive reaching out to me prior to our stay with information and assistance. One thing I want to mention that I didn't even notice until we arrived is there are no televisions in the house. There were plenty of games and puzzles for entertainment however. It's something to consider if you are as addicted as we are. Luckily our stay wasn't long enough to make a difference. Overall the house is a great idea if you're going for snow play.

Another great stay. Just as advertised. Great host. Very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The wood burning stove makes for a very cozy stay. This was our second stay, and I hope we have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

Great stay in Durango!

Cozy Pines Home was in a great location. Outside of city but close enough to explore in town. Very clean and Gary provided a warm welcome. The outside seating area had a great view of the river/stream. Kitchen was very well-equipped! Appliances were way beyond expectations! I think our next washer/dryer will be a GE! The Meadow Market is an added plus and close. All in all a very enjoyable stay! Would recommend!

Quiet location

The property was vreat with an amazing deck with a beautiful view. Everything you need for a long or short stay is provided. Our only complaint would be the water...it had an odor, hard to regulate the temp in the showers, and we did not drink it. The owner does provide bottled water so that is nice. Overall great stay, just be aware of the water.

Awesome base for San Juan Mountains

This was the perfect base camp for our adventure in the San Juan Mountains. We loved the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway. And Mesa Verde National Park, Pagosa Springs and Chimney Rock are all worth a visit. I highly recommend the San Juan Skyway!!

Durango Visit
