Very good

Good location. Spacious room and good value for money but it feels a bit unnecessary to only give 30 minutes free wi-fi and ask people to pay after that.
Large spacious room, well kept and very clean, ample parking and minutes from town centre, easy access to main routes.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
the look of the property was different given it was once an old railway station, nice and handy for town
Furniture was well worn, bathroom bit grubby and net curtains hanging off the rail
The main building was an old building reused.
The annex seemed a little isolated - no reception desk. This would have just allowed a little more human contact

When we got to our room it was freezing, the heater was on full but the room was Baltic,we gave it an hour to see if it heated up but it didnt,we asked at reception if they had any portable heaters but the didnt, again we gave it another half hour or so to see if the room warmed up,but still know joy,i then rang and booked alternative accommodation.

I think consideration to explain my room was in a separate building would have been nice. I was alone with a toddler and could have used some assistance. The cleaner ignored me when i was clearly struggling. The room was fine but when crouched down the carpet obviously smelt of vomit.
I stayed in the annex. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. So I could have a good rest and make tea. There is no breakfast provision but I was visiting my daughter at university si T met her for breakfast at one of the city's great cafes. Only complaint was the walk up the hill but it was close to walk in and I did not have to worry about the car as it was parked up safely. Will be using the travelodge again as good value and fulfilled needs. Staff were all helpful.
