Excellent Keswick
Stayed in the Annex which is the Old Railway Station at Keswick. The room was well decorated with heavy curtains,you could also control the temperature in the room,the bed was extremely comfortable. The bath was very large,and the water was lovely and hot,which was ideal after long walks during the day. We stayed room only,which was ideal for us on this occasion,Keswick is extremely busy all year round and during our stay there,you basically have to book everywhere.

This is our 3rd visit here the service is amazing the staff are really pleasant nice . The food is excellent couldn’t fault it . We had a lovely big room bathroom. It’s a big old hotel but with a warm ambiance about it .

Positives: Hotel front desk staff were polite and friendly. Bar area was nice and staff friendly. Location is fantastic. Negatives: Room cleanliness was very poor (found a legendary huge toenail from a previous guest on the floor next to the bed) and room service was rather 'selective' with what they chose to tidy/clean. The room I stayed in is in desperate need of modernisation. Provided toiletries were poor and equipment in the room wasn't good either (no iron). I'd struggle to recommend this hotel and would not stay again given the other options in the area - a shame as there's nothing that couldn't be improved with a little more effort as the location is stunning and the building itself is nice.
