Before anything, I would like to say that the Mary Ann, the inn keeper, was very helpful and accommodating. Knowing that the location is very shady, she offers to buy water and drinks for us during our stay. Even helped us book a van.
Now to the hotel review. The beach villa is a nice place to stay in if you want to get away from people and the main city center. It takes 10 minutes by trike to get there from the city center, and you'd have to pass through very small alleys and tight roads to get there. Beside the villa is an empty lot where they repair boats. If you're looking for a beach front, this isnt it either since there isnt much of a beach to speak of during high tide, and even during low tide, the beach is filled with big rocks so that doesnt make it any better. The rooms are very traditional with their walls and roofing with a really cold airconditioner. Comes fully equipped with a kitchen and fridge.
Basically, if you just plan on staying in and cooking all your meals yourself, this place is perfect. However, if you just want a nice place to stay in and then explore the city streets and meet people, this wont work for you. They do have free hotel transfers from the beach villa to the city, but it takes 10 minutes for the trike to get there.
