This place has the most amazing setting with georgeous views. Each lodge is set in between vegetation so feels very private, you are not overlooked by anyone.
The room had no aircon, just ceiling fans. Also NO TV. The bathroom had a big bathtub with room for two, and a candle holder on the wall so you could have a nice romantic bath in the candlelight. The beds were very comfortable and large. The curtains did not block out the light well so be prepared to get up when the sun gets up! The major bonus was the decking outside, where you can sit outside in privacy and just enjoy the nature around you. The lodge is reached by a small path that winds its way through the forest.
Service was good, we got help with parking, carrying bags etc. Amazingly, when we got in the car in the morning to drive off we noticed that they had *washed our car*.
Dinner was a disappointment. It's just a fixed menu consisting of a few dishes. There are three choices for the mains and that's it (meat/fish/vegetarian) and if you don't like any of these then you have a problem - there is nothing else around for miles. The food was good, but there was not much protein - and felt completely overpriced for a small piece of meat. Think "nouvelle cuisine" done South Africa style and you will have it.
Breakfast was very very good, with some exciting items I have not had before as well as blueberries, strawberries, home made omelettes, fantastic pastries etc.
