Clean, cozy & convenient.
Everything was seamless, this house was cozy and well kept. Walking distance to some restaurant favorites and the perfect set up for some much needed family time. Props to the housekeeper for being punctual on check out day while I was not. Would love to come back and stay again, thank you for the hospitality.

The Property is Lovely; The Property Manager Lacks Interpersonal Skills
The property was beautifully furnished. It provided comfortable accommodations for the five adults in our party. I have only two comments: 1) the property overlooks parking lot of a Dollar General Store - although hills can be observed and enjoyed in the distance; and 2) the cabin is next to a drive-through coffee stand that opens at 6 AM. Thus, because the cabin lacks AC and because we had the bedroom windows open at night, each morning we were awakened to the sound of coffee orders conveyed through a microphone, from 6 AM onward. However, because the cabin is so lovely, these issues proved to be of minor importance . However, a more serious issue was that we had made reservations in January, 2021, and by the time of our stay in July,2021 the owner had employed a new property management company that significantly changed the rules for occupancy of the cabin. Actually, on the counter in the cabin were two documents with conflicting sets of rules; one from the owner and the other from the property manager. For example, when I booked in January, the listing stated that the property was "pet friendly". However in June, when my final payment was due, and when it was too late to cancel my reservation without the loss of my deposit, the rules had changed. VRBO was wonderful. They assured me that because the property had been listed as 'pet friendly" when I made the booking, I could still bring my pet. However, the day I checked out of the property. But the day we checked out, the property manager Miki-Lynn Wollett of Vacasa telephoned me and screamed at me for ten minutes for breaking the rules. She would not let me offer an explanation and insinuated that I was a liar. Ms. Wollett followed up the next day with a threatening message sent to my private email address, rather than to the 'discussion portal that is maintained by VBRO (and is the appropriate venue for such communications). Again, an agent in customer relations at VRBO was wonderful. The agent contacted the owner on my behalf, and asked the owner to "call off" the property manager. In summary, we had a memorable stay in a lovely property, that I would recommend to other visitors to Estes Park.. However, I would advise they go to great lengths to avoid any interaction with the property manager.

Clean, Reasonable Nightly Fee, and it's dog friendly
My reservation @ Homeaway was good. The place was spotless, and has a very inviting furnishings and amenities. I like the fact that its dog friendly, (even if I didn't have my GSD with me) and the nightly fee was very reasonable. It is very close to the town, stores and restaurants. You'll appreciate venturing different routes because it has a phenomenal view anywhere you drive. I'm a travel nurse (and been in town since last year), and stumbled upon this property to stay for my last week at Estes Park. I wish I found this property much sooner when the hospital requested for an extension of my contract, otherwise, I would have accepted it. The only thing I didn't like was the door code. I found an old printed email from 2 yrs ago at the house, that has the same code as I did. That was really concerning. I didn't call the Property Manager, and make a fuss of it because I have other security gadgets that I carry with me anywhere I travel to, and placed infront of my door. And I also feel pretty safe in Estes. I still HIGHLY recommend Homeaway to anybody that's looking for a place to stay. It is Home away from Home".

Not quite so peaceful
Described as peaceful but it was a little noisy. This was due to a drive-up 'coffee/milk shake venue' right behind the property. Also close to an intersection. There seemed to be quite a few noisy diesel pickups in the area.
